Kobe is only player who has ever achieved that in NBA history? Is it true?
I remember in game 4 of the Utah series Mike Tirico metioned kobe had 4 consecutive 30+/6+/6+ playoff games before game 4. He said no one besides kobe had ever been able to do it.
Kobe then went ahead in game 4 to extend the streak to 5. Why did nobody ever talk about it ? Did I hear it wrong? |

if he had 3 more points in game 5 he would have done that the whole series. |

That's a great stat line for Kobe. Those are really great numbers and I'm surprised that no one is actually mentioning this more. Kobe's doing everything he needs to do and people still consider other players to be better in the playoffs come on. Like I was watching Boston and Cavs and they were hyping up Lebron so much. When Kobe is doing that and better in these playoffs. his stats are playoff MVP worthy/ |

Not sure about that...Jordan averaged 35-7-8 in the 1989 playoffs over 17 games, and 37-7-7 in the 1990 playoffs. He followed that up with 31-6-8, 34-6-6, and 35-7-6 in 91, 92 and 93, so it would be hard to believe he didn't get 30-6-6 at least 4-5 games in a row during one of those postseasons (of course, it's always possible he put up a 5 rebound or 5 assist game now and then that prevented a similar streak to Kobe's). _________________ !

The streak broke with his "weak" 26/7/6 in gm 5.
Last night was another 30/6/6 game but the streak was the last Denver game and the first 4 vs. Utah.. _________________ "My thirst for domination is fed only by the game. I refuse to get distracted by outside forces." - Kobe Bryant |

It's interesting...I'm going through Jordan's playoff logs and it looks like the claim Kobe is the only is correct so far. Jordan missed a 4-game streak in 89 with a 5 rebound game in the 4th game, flirted with it in 90 but never quite got it, and in 91 had a 5 game streak that was bookended by 29 point games in the 1st and 5th game, so it doesn't look like he's ever done 30-6-6 four times straight in the playoffs.
In 93, Jordan put up 41-9-6 against the Suns in the 6-game Finals, but had a 5 assist game in Game 1 and a 4 assist game in Game 4 that ruined him getting a 6-game streak for the whole series.
It's fun looking back at this stuff, and Kobe is the only player since Jordan to come along who could even sniff this kind of complete production against the best of the best. _________________ !

So he didn't do it in the same postseason like Kobe did this year. Pretty amazing accomplishment by Kobe, can't believe Bird, Magic, Chamberlain, Jordan, or anyone else never strung together what Kobe just did. |

Not a lot has been said about it but Kobe did in fact break the record that was previously held by MJ and Oscar Robertson (4 game streak). |

They showed it on one of the broadcasts, or maybe it was on SportsCenter after one of the games. MJ had 4 in a row, and Kobe broke that by getting 5 in a row _________________ Double rings > Double rainbow |

Yea, it's very impressive that Kobe was able to pull of a 5-game streak like that, especially because we're winning and he's leading us.
Even more impressive to me is that he's gone 8 straight games with at least 6 rebounds and 6 assists, with the only two games he didn't put up 30 being big wins for us where Kobe played within the offense (22 and 26 points). _________________ !
