Dudes averaging 9 pts a game and shooting 54% from the field. How come nobody is dubbing him the next great NBA sensation? It is only Veags but he is looking pretty decent so far and yet Karl is getting all the attention. Go figure. |

He's talking about "Joe" Crawford the guard from Kentucky that was just drafted, not Joey Crawford the NBA referee. |

Maybe not, but he can pay the ref to help him and his play. Like most superstars do. lol _________________

I'm more intrigued by Dwayne Mitchell. Joe Crawford is a dime a dozen. |

I was talking to a canadian today and I learned a new word...this seems like a perfect time to use it (I hope):

I think that the Lakers are supposed be playing the Triangle. Coby is the Laker that is most familiar with the Triangle so he plays most of the game and handles the ball a lot of the time. I don't think he shoots so much, considering how long he plays. He seems to be a good at the free throw line.

Joe Crawford is getting more confident each game, and I see him taking advantage of the way the triangle is set up
He has 8 pts already in 10 minutes of play vs Timberwolves
3-5 field goal percentage
I think Lakers need guys that have a midrange game and can drive to the hoop than a good sharpshooter at this time..especially if we sign Artest |

I'm hoping he gets more minutes as well. Mitchell looks like he takes playing defense serious.
As for Coby Karl, I have no idea why there is so much talk for him this summer (well it could be the whole story surrounding him). He hasn't done anything but chuck jumpers and miss alot of them. He hasn't done anything to show me that he is more than a stand still shooter who can't shoot. The only thing he can do is shoot 3's, and that isn't what this team needs to look for in a player to develop. As I said in another post, find someone who does some of; rebound, defend, put the ball on the floor and go to the hoop etc _________________ "It's just a job. Karl is playing very well. Stop hating on him. He's blocking shots, he's being aggressive, he's playing defense, he's getting to the line, when he gets attacked by opponents, he attacks back, he's efficient, but more than all that, he's running the offense - which is THE main thing the Lakers need from him to determine if any of the other participants can stick. We saw Farmar due that his last SPL and it made a big difference for Crittenton whenever Jordan was on the court.
It's not rocket science and most scouts have been impressed by Karl's play because he looks like a legit NBA player, even if Lakers fans always have to hate on the kid. |

^ agreed
Karl shows that his bball IQ is high enough to be able to run the triangle efficiently, the one thing I want Karl to be able to do is take over a game, get like 25 pts using all his abilities |

I can't decide if I should root for Joe Crawford or Coby karl to make the team...Which one is more redundant when compared with Sun Yue? _________________
