For cheap eats, Tito's Tacos is always good, but I hate the jacked up parking and long lines. _________________ Rest In Paradise Kobe & GiGi |

I totally agree! I hate "Americanized" mexican food. Taco shops are the best. Especially Kotija's Taco shop in So Cal. It's the best!
As far as Mexican Fast food CHIPOTLE is the best! |

Family owned places are by far the best. Reminds me of moms cookin'. _________________ Make the World a better place, Punch a Boston fan in the Face |

I've already mentioned my best Mexican Food (Taco Mesa in Costa Mesa). I never told my story of the worst.
I was in Buffalo New York about 20 years ago, at a diner (not a Mexican restaurant -- I don't think they had Mexican restaurants there 20 years ago), and one of the specials was "Mexican Fajitas."
It didn't occur to me that I was about 2,000 miles away from Mexico and nobody in this diner's kitchen would likely have a clue what they were doing, so I ordered them. They gave me a 12" tortilla, filled with lettuce and refried beans, folded in half, with ketchup on top. |

Before Mexican food chains began to appear on the East Coast, there were restaurants that served tacos with salad dressing. The national chains at least "standardized" bland salsa. |

Acapulco Cafe , Torrance. Carson St & Denker. Family owned and operated for like 50 years. The special chips with their homemade guacamole is unbelievable! Small, but very clean and great service. I now live in Vegas and I CRAVE it sooo bad. _________________ "Time wounds all heels". -John Lennon |

Alertos! It is a classic and a must have if you reside in CA.
Family owned ones have the best overall food though imo. |

Taco Bell.
Kidding. Well, not really. Good for value and cheap bastards like myself.
Here, some place call "Ernesto's." Though I haven't been there. _________________ (❍ᴥ❍ʋ) ʕʘᴥʘʔ (⌐ ͡■ ͜ʖ ͡■) (┛◉Д◉)┛( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ༼;´༎ຶ ༎ຶ༽ |
