I'd like to see a decision made on posting photos and video.

As I see it, either it should be a sitewide function for everyone - or at least the majority of people who have spent more than a week or two here and made several dozen posts.

But this thing where a couple of staff get to do so while no one else can (regardless of tenure or contribution) strikes me as BS and elitist. You either allow such functionality for the community as a whole, or you don't use it at all - not even as mods.

You either run a site where the message is community and people have the same access and ability, or the alternative is a place of arrogant douchebaggery by a handful of participants who openly thumb their noses at the very people they hope to engage.

Elitist? Like a club with three members? .

Yeah, but the only privilege to that was bugging a guy who is no longer with us.

I'm sorry, did you not receive the list of other privileges? I gave it to Shempcina to give to you. Why I oughtta...

I think a Gong-feature for over-the-top stupid posts would be great thing!

Saw Armo2k's headline about wanting a search option, and it came up invalid. Was going to search for it, but...well...

I'd like to see a minimum post count of, say, 25 posts before posters can create a new thread.

It would cut down on spam threads.

Beware of embedded media. Right now there is a relatively decent level of discussion, considering that this is a sports site. Never mind that pictures will detract from serious discussion in the main forum...it's a pain in the ass to moderate. Trolls will exploit it hard.

I don't think sigs would be a problem if you have a feature to turn them off in your profile and only users with a certain amount of posts can have them. I don't see it being a problem then.

Think it is first-come first-served, he's incredibly fast at posting new game threads, news, and Laker updates. I think other people have started them this season as well so no monpoly here.

If the Notify me when a reply is posted is reactivated not have it applied in game threads.

Other posters have started them, there's no monopoly. What's wrong with BJ starting game threads?

Please don't allow those obnoxious siggys that take up half of a page with pictures and self promotions that contribute nothing to the topic.

I think it's kind of obnoxious to start game threads 2 days ahead of time when it used to be that posters took turns in starting them several hours before the game actually started. I have nothing against him starting game threads, but I think some other people should get the opportunity to do it , but the guy doesn't give anyone a chance and thinks he's entitled to do it. JMO. And you know what? a lot of other people around here think like me.

All game threads say the same stuff, anyway. There's no real privilege in getting to start one.

But here, if it makes you feel any better, I'll break his combo tonight.

Could we add a 2-quote limit to posts? We see some posts that are over half a page long with 4 or 5 quotes.

Is there a way you can tell from looking at a thread if you have posted in the thread? If not, that is something I'd like to see.

Sorry if this has already been posted or if it already exists and I just missed it.

I hate these new ads that automatically start playing when you change pages. I know you need to bring in revenue to keep the site going but man are these ads annoying.
