Lakers built 13-point first quarter lead, 27-point halftime lead, led by as many as
37 on the night and defeated the Dallas Mavericks 115-89 at American Airlines Center. The
26-point margin of victory equaled the Lakers largest road win ever against the
Mavericks (2/23/96 – 114-88 at Dallas). In addition to World Peace, Kobe Bryant totaled
19 points (6-11 FG) and a team-high five assists while Antawn Jamison came off
the bench to post 19 points (7-11 FG) and a game-high 15 rebounds. Dwight Howard
(15 points, 7 rebounds, career-high tying 5 steals), Pau Gasol (13 points, 9 rebounds)
and Jodie Meeks (11 points (3-5 3FG), 5 rebounds, 3 assists) rounded out the Lakers in
double-figures. Vince Carter led Dallas with 16 points on 5-of-10 shooting in 17
minutes off the bench. Jae Crowder (15 points, 4 steals), O.J. Mayo (13 points) and Shawn
Marion (10 points) were the only other Mavericks in double-figures as the
Lakers held Dallas to just 37 percent shooting from the field (34-of-92). The season series
now stands at 1-1 after the Lakers opening night loss to the Mavericks in Los
Angeles with two games remaining between the teams.

Early Sunday game generally spells death for us, but I have to think we know the stakes and will come out ready. |

Hopefully Kobe takes this game personal and drops 60 then walks off the court looking at Cuban saying "amnesty this!" |

This.
I got my nephew, who now lives in Dallas, tickets to this game for Christmas. Every time I took him to games we won, so hopefully it'll still work in Dallas! _________________ "Kobe, Kobe, Kobe and some more Kobe, with a sprinkling of Kobe and a huge fat scoop of double Kobe with Kobe sprinkles and Kobe sauce"

Why? because we always play bad in Denver. And to make it worst, we will play them on the night of b2b.
Hopefully we can win against the Mavericks. _________________ You miss 100 percent of the shots you never take. |

Early game. We have a lot of players banged up. Revenge game for Dallas. Not very confident about this one. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

Nash tweaked his back yesterday - hopefully ready to go in an early game tomorrow.
Denver b2b shouldn't be an issue - we have over 24 hours to recover and get into Denver early Sunday night. |

Nash tweaked his back and Howard also hurt his shoulder again.
Pretty big game because Dallas is tied with us in losses. They are trying to make a run just like us. |
