So, on my blog I'm compiling a list of the 10 hottest girl characters in Sci-Fi (My GF will compile one for the opposite sex later)... But I wanted to see what you guys think...
A few rules about a girl making it on this list:
1. The role must be recurring on either a movie or TV show.
2. The character, not necessarily the actress, must be hot.
3. Fantasy movies are also included in this list (Pirates, LOTR, etc.)
#8 (Sharon Valerii, etc) (Battlestar Gallactica) _________________ "Every time he got an offensive rebound, it was deflating," Hornets coach Monty Williams said ... "I thought Bynum decided the series. He was that good."
"...one of the most valuable players in the league…"– Phil Jackson about Ron Artest in 2005
^ you are psychic, my friend... Princess Leia AND Padme Amidala are Nos. 7 on my list... I couldn't keep them off the list, but I couldn't put them any higher. _________________ MTFBWYA

nice.
Fyi, I had a life-sized carbdoard cutout of Princess Leia in her slave girl outfit
No. 6 - Jessica Alba for her roles in Dark Angel and Fantastic Four
Why she’s hot: Admittedly, I wanted to keep Jessica Alba off this list. Not because she isn’t hot. She is. On any other list, Alba is in the top five of hot women. But on this, she has to settle for No. 6 because of the mediocrity of her work. But I only thought about her as Max, the genetically engineered supersoldier in Dark Angel. Although there’s nothing wrong with a leather-clad Alba riding motorcycles and kicking some ass, the show just wasn’t that good. Then I remembered that she also starred in the two Fantastic Four movies as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman. And with that, she’s in.
Nerd Fantasy: Sure, this is about Jessica Alba, but I think the nerd fantasy in this is to have Reed Richards superpower. Maybe that’s how he got Sue Storm? _________________ MTFBWYA
For No. 5, I'm not sure if it's Summer Glau (Sarah Connor Chronicles) or Jennifer Garner (Alias)... Whoever doesn't make No. 5 doesn't make the list... it's just the way it is. _________________ MTFBWYA
I didn't think Jessica Alba looked great in Dark Angel. I think she looked awesome in her first movie, Idle Hands. She wasn't famous at the time. I saw her and fell in love
^ Kate Beckinsale is up for consideration... we're getting down to the nitty-gritty... the girls you think of when it comes to sci-fi hot:
#5: Milla Jovovich (Alice in Resident Evil and Leelo in The Fifth Element)
Why she’s hot: The model-turned-actress-turned sci-fi goddess jumped into the hearts of fanboys with her portrayal of Leelo in the 1997 movie The Fifth Element. So fans of the Resident Evil video game series didn’t flip out when Jovovich was cast as lead role in a movie adaptation. She succeeded as a survivor of the un-deadly T-virus and succeeded in kicking some zombie ass. She’s recently accepted a role in a fourth Resident Evil movie.
Nerd fantasy:
Nerd: So, level with me. What are the chances of us, you know, hooking up?
Alice: Let’s put it this way. If we were the only two survivors in an attack with a deadly virus that spread throughout the world and the only way we could save this world is to repopulate it with our spawn, then there’s a .01 percent chance we’ll, how do you say, “hook up.”
Nerd: (About 5 minutes later) So what you’re saying is, I have a chance? _________________ MTFBWYA

How about the black girl from the original Star Trek? i always thought she was hot. _________________ KobeDunk wrote:

Either something happens or something doesn't? Damn. Bold claim.
If she keeps up the work, she'll be on the list. But when I think sci-fi hot, I don't think of her right away. FHM hot, yes... _________________ MTFBWYA
Why she’s hot: She’s crafty. Smart. Sexy. Independent. Tough. And she’s one of the few, OK, several hot women on The Island in Lost. She makes it in the top four, not just because of her overall hotness, but because she fits into the prototypical male fantasy of getting stuck on a deserted island with a woman of her sort. She’s also almost always naked. I wonder what the over/under is on episodes in which Kate strips down to bra and panties and jumps in the water to take a bath, or rescue something or someone—three?
Nerd fantasy: The entire plot of the show Lost. That’s the nerd fantasy. Get stuck on an island with a bunch of hot women and have all kinds of weird stuff happen. Nothing better than that… I guess we could do without flaming arrows flying at our heads. _________________ MTFBWYA
Mike, I'm curious about who you have in the top 3. I knew Kate would be on this list. I just thought she would be higher. Since you went out of your way to include fantasy, I think I know who might be in the top 3.

Few women on the big screen or small screen make bad movies worthwhile like Kate Beckinsale.
Pearl Harbor? Saw it. Was it good?
I don’t remember. Kate Beckinsale was in it, so I guess.
Van Helsing? Was it good? Kate Beckinsale looked really good.
Click? Um, no way Adam Sandler gets that girl. No way.
Serendipity? Seriously, dude, don’t get out of that cab.
What about Underworld? Vampires. Werewolves. Had to be good, right? Not sure, but one thing is for certain, Kate Beckinsale is the hottest vampire EVER. Her sharp incisors make her even more attractive. Then she’s a vampire that hunts and kills werewolves? Even better.
Nerd fantasy:
Vampires have for far too long been the female fantasy. How many times have I heard a girl say, “Ooh, I’d let Brad Pitt bite me on my neck, or “Edward Cullen is so hot,” or “The vampires in The Lost Boys are so much cuter than the nerds who discover them”?
For far too long, I say. It’s about time guys get a hot female vampire. One we wouldn’t mind biting our necks. And folks, that vampire is Selene, Beckinsale’s character in the Underworld series. _________________ MTFBWYA
