https://youtu.be/Ra-ixKS8hOo?t=1m57s this chain of movements is encouraging regarding his mobility improvement, he's on beat, doesn't look slow
Yeah that should bode well for his defense. He seems to have a decent quickness to him.
His quickness and mobility is really weird. Like 6'10 Myles Turner ish. Looks wobbly and has trouble picking up his feet, but once he gets going he has solid mobility. It's starting and picking those feet up initially that is tough for him
Watch the vid of his 30pt game on the last page, watch him run back on D...... .....

Could Thomas Bryant end up being signed to a two-way contact?
That's what I'm guessing. NBA rosters were expanded to 17 players with two spots reserved for two-way contracts. In the past, 2nd round picks who weren't ready to make the roster were allowed to play overseas while the team that drafted them held onto their draft rights. The two-way contract is supposed to keep these guys here in the U.S. playing in the G-League. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant
I'm super excited about this kid. Especially after seeing both workout videos and seeing that he's already been working on his body and agility. He's pretty comfortable ball handling and for someone his size, that's going to cause problems for the opposition. Add in the fact that he has a natural 3 point stroke and you've got something to work with. He's not popping out for set shot 3s, these are legit jumpshots.

Lopez has been pretty healthy since he missed all that time with foot injuries. He's played in no fewer than 72 games the last three seasons but it's nice to have a reserve big we can call up at any time while he's developing. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. This is nice to point to, when people for some reason doubt a player under 20's ability to improve athletically.
Get him in a gym with NBA coaches and get him doing squats n he could be something. His legs are very underdeveloped
Agreed this was my first thought watching him. He needs to hit the gym in general. It's not like he'll have a choice with our FO putting more emphasis on fitness. If he improves his strength, he could turn out to be a worthwhile project. Can't teach that length and he seems to have some decent touch with the ball as well.
Nice hand size/wingspan/standing reach. Should help with both finishing and rim protection if he's able to put it all together
Ya.. he palms the ball on his dunks, helps him extend fully and he really needs it , bcuz his vert isn't impressive.
Only 8 guys in the league have a standing reach higher than 9'4.5, and the wingspan of course is also ridiculous
For now his measurables are just a savior for him, lol - becuase he needs them with his lack of mobility --- But if that improves, then it's a weapon
Really love his upside, and the pick. But I'm a believer in athletic development of underclassmen
Is Bryant close to the same talent level as Zu or far off?
Bro, Zubac is sure fire hall of fame, you compare him to Hakeem and Wilt, but he is a center that can run and stretch the floor and bit, perfect 3rd stringer behind Lopez and Zubac.

Yeah, I like the upside on this pick. Get him to be a workout warrior like we're doing with Zubac and see if we can improve on that vert, lateral speed and general anchoring as a result. Seems like getting him into superb shape would do a lot for him. Good pick at 42.
He seems like a very hard worker with good physical tools to make up for average ups and Myles Turner-like hips; all the analytics favor him. Let's not forget this isn't a Tyler Davis scenario where he shot 60% on 2-pointers on zero dunks; this guy was an average dunker who shot 70% at the rim in his freshman year.
