He could have been part of something special here but I dont blame him one bit for taking the money. Hes young and this is his first chance at getting a decent contract. Hopefully like fish did, he finds his way back to the purple and gold in the future.

Yeah he is. Warriors just paid it.

Well the Warriors are idiots.

What Ronny is getting from the Warriors wasn't a lot. 4 million dollars is below the average NBA Salary. For a 6'10 big man like Ronny who can shoot, hustle and play PF and C, it's a fair price. The problem is that we're over the cap, and 4 million dollars translates to 8 million dollars when luxury tax is nailed to the bill. Ronny simply isn't worth 8 million dollars out of the Laker's pocketbooks. 4 million is fine though. Espcially since he's going to see his minutes drastically decrease with Bynum, Pau, and LO in the lineup. If we hadn't traded for Pau, I definitely would see us keeping him. Unfortunately for him (and thankfully for the Lakers) Pau Gasol landed in the Laker's lap for a cheap price and the plans we had for Turiaf changed.

I wish him well. However, I think he will struggle. Most of his minutes will come from the center position and he never liked playing there with us. Golden State isn't going to toss Brandon Wright to the curb and give Ronny all of his minutes.

Turiaf is worth it. Don't be fooled by Phil yanking his minutes around. It is sad to see him go, it's just too bad Mitch was so shortsighted last summer giving Luke $30 million.

We keep losing our dancers. First Mark Madsen now Turiaf. If Coby Karl makes the team he had better learn to dance all goofy like.

I could see DJ Mbenga taking over as the goofy sideline dancer

I'm sad as well. I mean he's a very energetic guy, and coming off the bench he was always bringing something. I wish him good luck in Golden State

Ronny - some brief moments aside, you always made me proud of the efforts that you gave as a Laker. Best of luck with your career, and never let anyone keep you from expressing your pure self.

You can add me to the list. It was nice having you here in LA Ronny. Good luck in No Cal. Gonna totally miss his antics and energy.

Disgusting contracts like that are what have really held the Lakers down financially.

I'm sorry though I believe Luke has good moments and he has streaks, he is not worth 30 million.
