He played better I think, was more aggressive. Want to see more of him being aggressive, but I think TP is better right now at that spot, he is a bit more dynamic out there.

We went to Rui in the post which was good to see, haven't seen that yet this series it seems. I don't think he made the shot, but it was a good look. He had KCP on him, and still put up a good look.

Played better but he should be our answer to MPJ having a good game. It's not like he isn't capable of matching MPJ's output, he just needs to be close to it.

Rebound and stay aggressive on the offensive and defensive end. If we could get 13-14PPG Hachimura this series, then what MPJ does won't factor as much, if the other guys on our team do what they're supposed to do.

Porter is destroying Rui in this series. Rui is completely lost on how to defend him.

I was always for Rui starting over Prince. In this series, I would play Prince over Rui. Its not D'Lo's whose confidence Im worried about right now. Its Rui. That said, one thing I appreciate about Rui is that it doesnt affect him to the effect where he is completely useless and is a complete zero. He still makes open shots.

For a guy his size (and build) he rebounds like a undersized guard. Just no awareness and wanting the ball.

I definitely consider him a tweener. The game really turned around when Rui was on the bench and Lebron moved to the dunker's spot. Sadly, we have so little depth up front he'll likely be in the starting lineup for Game 5. Hopefully, CWood can give us something off the bench.

It's not so much that Rui is "lost" defending him. Rui is just not a good "chase defender". Rui is about average, when defending bigger forwards, in isolation. Below average against smaller/quicker forwards, who can create off the bounce. And, also below average, when his man is running off picks/screens. That's MPJ's game.

MPJ is not some crafty ball handler, who's going to break you down off the dribble. He's a really good catch-and-shoot, and movement, shooter. Unfortunately, Rui struggles with this. Prince, while not the greatest movement defender either, is better than Rui.

Something I would try (or, would have been more comfortable trying in the previous games, when there was leeway) would be to try to tire MPJ's legs, by giving Rui some post touches, and let him go at MPJ. Would also have the benefit of getting Rui more mentally engaged.

In order to win game 5, in Denver, we will definitely need "Play-Off Rui" to reappear.

Yes, that's exactly what I said a few days ago.
No excuse for anyone on the Lakers over 6' 4" tall (like Hart) to not at least pull down 5 rebounds a game.

Rui should average 6-8 conservatively. At least....

Anyone disagree? Dude is 6' 9"

He was much better in the playoffs last season. Against this same Nuggets team he averaged 15.3 per game last year in the playoffs. And against the Grizzlies he also averaged 14.5. He's averaged 6 points in 30 minutes so far this series.

I don't know what is going on with him, I do tend to think it's mental though. Reminds me of his play just after the trade last year.

Most Def mental.. Hes getting to his spots and getting good looks.. Just missing what he usually makes..

Would love to see him hit a couple corner 3s to boost his confidence early..

On defense/rebounding tho he needs to be better.. Physically hes as big as gordon and we need him to step up to that task of neutralizing him

Rui's problem is just like Julius Randle. both are SF/PF tweeny. too small for PF/C and too bulky, too slow to guard smaller, shifty SFs. it's hard to incorporate them into rotation if they're not making their usual shots.

I like Rui, but he did not ascend from last season. Had high hopes for him. He should be used as a trade asset to improve the team.

Dlo is taking all the heat but Rui has been significantly worse over the course of the series. Dlo had that one stinker but by and large was decent to great in the other games.

Rui was just awful. The Rui/Prince tandem was basically the series.
