As always, thanks for your time and dedication, DB. I don't know if there's another fansite or fanbase in the world as great as LG, and most of that is thanks to you. Many people take for granted all of the time you and the mods put into the site, whether it's your writeups or just keeping the Lounge clean and readable.
Another season ends in success all around! _________________ Jeffs

Another successful season in the books, as well as another epic series of your post-game write-ups. I do hope you keep these 600pg novels for yourself in some organized fashion. They would make a fantastic collection chronicling the recent history of the Purple and Gold with your skillful wordsmithery!
Thanks for all your hard work and for sharing your gift with us! |

Man I'm STILL up and I gotta work tomorrow...
DB - - THANK YOU for the best write-ups in all of basketball, and an entertaining story on top of it all.
Also - - a big THANK YOU to your family!
These trophies tend to come in groups of three; let's enjoy the summer and look forward to what next season brings.

It is accomplished.
I've been sticking up for Ron all year, and I'm just happy for him that he came up big when the team needed him most.
What struck me most was that it really was a team efort. Seems like all the guys chipped in in their own way.
When PJ put Sasha in at the end, and then we saw Sasha hit the clinching FTs, you realize how well PJ knows his guys. PJ didn't hesitate to put Sasha in, and Sasha repaid that faith.
Pau was absurdly great that fourth quarter. Just a monumental breakthrough game against the team that had haunted him since 2008.
During the celebration, they showed Kobe and Old Doc Buss hugging and you could see real emotion in Buss's eyes, along with what I read as true affection for Kobe. I think it's safe to say that whetever friction had existed between the two after the "trade me" days, if it ever existed, has passed.
It also was interesting to see how close Sasha and Kobe seem to be.
Despite this teams "to cool for school" reputation, you could see how much they really care for one another.
Watching Ammo run around like a giddy kid and seeing teammates hug him was touching.
Man, I don't even want to go to sleep.
It feels too good. Es[ecially because the lakers won 5 on 8.
A lot of lakers earned a lifetime pass this game.
And you know what? This team ain't done. Not by a longshot.

Thanks as always, DB. I tell my friends about your tremendous write-ups and they're well known about over here in South Florida. Back to Back World Champions! I love it and I'm tired of hearing that line from Doc as well. |

Thanks, DB. Wow! They did it! Ron's really changed, I'm so happy for him. Kobe's teammates really do like him and they showed it big time. This championship may have the best subplots behind it! From Ron's trip to the shower, to Pau manning up and LO showing up, Derek Fisher's incomparable mental toughness, Bynum's perseverance and toughness and Sasha's redemption from the boos of last years parade. There better be cheers for him this year or I'll expect his teammates to stand up for him instead of letting him get run under the bus. |

Thanks are not enough for you, my brother Laker fan. I don't post much but I religiously follow all your postgame analysis. They're indispensable to me.
One again a great write-up, together with your recommended music, I got all worked up.
Followed the game live (started at 2AM over here). Went to bed and slept just one hour before getting up to go to work. But, once again, it was worth it.
This game kind of made me remember game 7 of the WCF against Portland in 2000 (?). Always behind, things were not looking very good but one never looses hope that the guys will pull it off in the end. That particular 4th quarter was brilliant. This one was not as pretty and certainly not as dramatic but it was a great comeback and I always had a kind of certainty that, no matter what, we would not be denied on our home floor.
My hat goes off to you and to our beloved Lakers who, once again, didn't let us down. |

My son wanted to post this sad notice. Sorry, I did not where to put this, since this is somewhat new to me. My son said to put it in Dancing Barry's report. Sorry if it's not appropriate. "jeremysnow" passed on a few weeks ago of natural causes. My son wanted to write this note, however, he said it was too painful for him to do so. I am most disheartened that my Dad or "Gramps" to my son, was not able to see the Lakers win against Boston. It's very painful for all of us, thank you everyone for being a very special place for my Dad. Hopefully, time heals all wounds and my son can write you all some time soon. Thank you all for your kindness! |

Very sorry to hear. Jeremy was a kind, insightful, wonderful guy. I've missed his posts in the past couple years. He'll be missed by our community here. |
