No saving that one for the playoffs! Seriously I guarantee the LAL will play better than the over-hyped Heat. |

No doubt about it. Last game against the Spurs, Lakers didn't put too much energy and if Odom box out Lakers won. Plus, often when a team shoot like that, next game they can't buy a bucket, ask Ray Allen. _________________ "You always have to be on edge. cavs - samadi samuels 23 and 10 over 50% shooting
grizzlies - tony allen 20 pts 8/9 shooting
nets - anthony morrow 25 pts

gonna be a tough game. lakers generally start off very slow in early start games, especially pau. |

as we come down the stretch of this season, here are some playoff numbers for you to chew on.
in recent history, only two teams have made four finals in a row, the 82-85 lakers, and the 83-86
celtics.
because the lakers season's of '82 and '83 only had 3 playoff rounds, i've decided to
swap them for the 87-89 years where they played 4 playoffs rounds.
also note, that, both '83-'86 celtics, and the '87-'89 lakers, played 5 game series in the first rounds,
meaning they had one less road game to win.
here are the win percentage of road games in those 3 year finals' runs,
starting with the celtics '83-'85, lakers 87-89, and this current lakers squad, '08-'10.
celtics: 43% (12-28)
lakers: 50% (12-24)
lakers: 47% (15-32)
this team gets dumped on regularly, and for good reason sometimes, but this team stacks
up against two of the best team's of all-time, as far as playing on the road in the playoffs
is concerned. _________________ "i was born down in the valley where the sun refused to shine, but i'm climbin' up to the highlands, goin' to make that mountain mine" ~ Lakers, 2011 |

On the other hand, that would also be the kiss of death -- for the Spurs. |

I expect kobe to come out much like he did in the charlotte game. I think he is going to take it upon himself to try and make sure we get this road trip started off on the right foot, and get the guys confidence up that we can beat anyone, anytime, ANYWHERE. |

I would love to see a heavy dose of Bynum and Gasol. We should be able to pound that ball inside.
And if we can hit some early 3 pointers, this game will fall out of control for San Antonio. We spread thier defense even a little bit and Kobe will dice them up for easy points and dish offs.
Our Defense needs to rule on the boards. We should be able to win this game, and it would send a message to the Spurs that Home Court doesn't automatically mean WIN.
I am curious to see how the ref crew does tonight. Usually we get bent over in San Antonio. If they can keep the difference in foul shots to +10 or less for SAS, we should win this game.
Predicted score: Lakers 105 Spurs 90 _________________ This Laker Organization has not yet hit bottom. It is moving there quickly, and I suspect this year we will see zero talent coming to the Lakers and we will trade away Kuz and BI for old vets in the hopes of giving LeBronze some scapegoats. |

Listening to 710 radio and AK(Andy Kamenitski) like's the increased technical fouls being called but he misses the problem: It's the refs that should be fined most of the time because of their purposefully ignoring calls and or their overall inconsistency throughout a game. Stern should be fined for failing to manage the refs and the refs should be fined for allowing their emotions and or biases to effect their calls.
Straighten out the root problem, the refs, then I don't have a problem with technical's that are deserved.
The second point Andy made is a good one, he was referring to Dwight getting suspended a game. He proposes they never suspend the player because that cheats the fans. Very good point. His alternative was to nstead maybe charge a bigger fine.
Bottom line is, it's the refs fueling the techs to begin with. That's the root problem. |

We need to keep up with our great Artest-Bynum led defense and we can win this. |
