then i'll take the Kobe Bryant last second shot miss but putback from Lamar.
Ala Ron-ron last series, and Pau in OKC. _________________ "Kobe Bryant is the best player in the world and is basically unstoppable when his game is on" - Barack Obama

1. Rebound
2. Initiate the attack on offense sooner. It Doesnt mean we need to shoot earlier but when it's UNDER 7 seconds and we have no movement we are letting the Celts dictate what type of shots we get ...
3. Ron can not give Pierce any freebies ...cheap fouls when we are in the penalty ...I expect Paulina to have a good game but Ron needs to make sure he gets under 25 points ...
4. I dont mind Kobe getting 25 shots if all of them are GOOD shots ...but out of his almost 30 last game 15 were ill-advised by him or because he had to bail out his passive teammates.
5. To help Kobe ...when pau has the FREAKING ball on the block make a decisive move do not pass it out to Kobe with <5 seconds to shoot!
6. No foul trouble for Lamar ESPECIALLY if Bynum cant play
7. Ray will get some baskets but we have to make him earn those
8. Take pau off of KG
9. Use the bench in pairs only no whole sale subs ...
10. Make sure to rest Kobe some before 8 mins left in the 4th
Examples:
farmar & Brown plus 3 starters
Farmar and Sasha plus 3 starters
Odom and Walton plus 3
Our bench guys are more effective this way ...
We can not afford kobe and pau sit out togehter for extended stretches ... |

fisher isn't going to bail him out this time.
the team is not playing good basketball, boston played horribly and still would have beaten us if not for fisher having the best quarter of his life.
phil needs to come up with some answers and make sure the team is playing the right way.
get the best player in the world some good looks, and make sure he has good options if the boston defense is focused on him.
none of that happend in game 3, and all of it is phil's responsiblity.
i hope this changes, or that kobe saves us if it doesn't. |
Great post. It's inexcusable for Phil to allow the Lakers to stagnate on offense. If the team isn't running the offense properly, then Phil needs to call timeouts to make sure the team is focused on ball and player movement. |

i think you need to wake up, bro. phil is not the problem. it's odom who needs to step up, artest play harder d, and pau putting himself in position and playing more aggressively. yeah we're not playing good basketball, but part of that is because the celtics d is that damn good, too. and while we do need to get the ball to kobe, we have to go to pau and bynum more, and not hope that kobe will bail us out with three seconds left on the clock at every possession. _________________ i drink haterade. and i drink it by the gallons. |

but to correct myself, odom did step up last game. for some reason, i kept thinking of game 2. i guess im still frustrated from odom's performance from game 1 and 2. with that being said, i think ron will play harder d tonight. he usually plays better wen people disrespects him or scores all over him. not that paul pierce has been that great, but pierce and rivers discredited paul's poor shooting percentage to ron's d. dat should get him going for tonight's game hopefully. _________________ i drink haterade. and i drink it by the gallons. |

Game 1 - Gasol > Garnett
Game 2 - Gasol > Garnett
Game 3 - Gasol < Garnett
-------------------------------
PAU 2 - KEVIN 1
Game 4?
I think Pau is gonna be a beast tonight.

Garnett 4.0 was just recalled for faulty wheels. Apparently, they kept spinning without getting anywhere. _________________ dEDGE - Lakers commentary |

The biggest thing for Pau is to continue to outboard KG. We need to control the boards tonight in order to give ourselves a chance to win game 4. Beyond that, the Lakers need to give Pau more touches, and now that Pau has seen that KG can do more than just shoot fadeaways, he needs to be better prepared to deal with KG’s quick-strike offensive moves. |

How about this:
Game 1: Pau >> KG
Game 2: Pau >>> KG
Game 3: KG > Pau
Even though Pau was less effective in Game 3, he still managed to pull down a double-double, while KG scored he was barely a factor on the boards. I doubt he can keep up the same offensive production. IMHO, Pau has DOMINATED this matchup. |

Yup. KG pulled down 6 boards in game 3, and 5 of those came in the 1st half. |

I say Pau >>> KG. One day off between the last 3 games is gonna make the Celtics more tired than the Lakers. Granted Kobe might be a little tired also, but the age of the celtics might come into play in this game. _________________ 1,2,3 RING. |

We really need to watch out for Rondo in this game. I have a sinking feeling he's going to try to go off tonight.. _________________
