One thing’s for certain. Everyone’s auto correct does not have Collison’s name right.

#Collusion
#Collins

One potential thorn: DC's agent is Bill Duffy, who also reps Bradley and Rondo. Collison going there could have big implications for both/either's playing time or even status with the team. They may signal Duffy to steer him elsewhere or he may just do it himself.

Same logic applies to the other team. Beverly, Lou, Shamet

Bradley can also play the 2 primarily and KCP slide to the 3 which opens a ton a mins for DC.

The good news is that one of these options is possible. Silver linings.

Vogel probably has Collisons cell # so he probably already gave the info to LeBron so he can recruite Collison.

DC's message to an insta post where he apparently was one of a few NBA players who attended Boogie's wedding.

Funny that DC thanked LeBron and Boogie among players whom he has friendships with, but didn’t thank Paul George who he was teammates with:

Well, he has always been an efficient player his whole career. Just solid. If we sign him, I hope not having a training camp doesn't change this attribute.

Collison. We need a penetrating guard to take some load off Lebron.

Agreed. The reason we lost to the Flippers is because of that. Everyone is standing around at the end and we are shooting jumpers. Not sure it is because LBJ gets tired in the 4th quarter. Either way, we need another creator that can drive and kick or finish it off.

I noticed today in the Phoenix game that AD plays too much perimeter. in the last quarter, he needs to post up more and have movement inside. Its crunch time and things tighten up. We need high percentage shots.

Are there any players out there that the Lakers are interested in, that the Clippers are not? Smh, these guys are just siting there waiting to see who the Lakers are interested in or who is interested them and then throw their name in the mix!

I wouldn't call Collison an offensive point guard.

He's definitely a 3&D guard, but he's not a shot creator per se.

Should the Lakers sign him? Of course. Is he an upgrade over Bradley and Rondo? Yes, but the Lakers need an aggressive, attacking guard who can also shoot.

Collison is an upgrade over the guards already on the roster, but he doesn't solve or fill the void of what this team actually needs.

I'd sign him tomorrow and he'd be in my closing lineup most nights, but, to build this roster properly, the Lakers still need an attacking guard.

Collison undoubtedly helps but he ain't the solution.

Interesting.

If Collison is signed, by my estimation, the only way to NOT push Davis' compatriot Rajon Rondo out of the rotation is for Davis to play center:

PG - Collison - Rondo
SG - Bradley - Pope
C - Davis - Howard
PF - James - Kuzma
SF - Green - Iguodala

Davis must play center, otherwise, Rondo sits at the end of the bench.

Interesting indeed.

Where did McGee go?

Also, Green can just play the 2, Lebron the 3 and Davis stay at the 4.

Reading comprehension is a real skill.

I'll repeat: If Davis wants Rondo to remain in the rotation after a Collison signing, Davis must play center.

You haven't thought out what you're asking and saying.

I'm presenting a hypothetical that may or may not end up happening.

Rondo getting DNP-CDs could be a touchy situation. David has the cache to at least keep Rondo in the rotation by moving to center, and that is what I've illustrated.

You asked where's McGee because you did not comprehend the theme of my post. Take some time to understand before responding. I'm guilty of that from time to as well. I'm just telling you the truth here.

Ah yes!

The old "if he was so good, why yada-yada-yada" response.

I have to say that 99% of the time these types of simple responses are without merit.

Just look up and down this roster. People don't just magically become good. They are part of a process and must fit into a role.

Is Caruso "cold" as you say? He didn't just become good all of a sudden. The truth is that he's been good. He was good last year when he only played a handful of NBA minutes and spent most of his time in the G-League.

Gary Payton was just called up. The moment before he was called up, did he suck because noone wanted him?

You don't base someone's value based on how desired they are by others or by the extenuating circumstances surrounding an early retirement.

Do you realize how simple-minded your comment is ?

Calvin Johnson, maybe the most physically gifted wide reciever of all-time retired at the height of his powers. Same with Barry Sanders.

We're they "cold"?

I say this all the time, but it must be said again. It's okay to hold the clipboard.

I would not bring Collison into this locker room. Guy has not played in a year, and is just as likely to negatively impact team chemistry as he is to fit into it.
