Welcome back DB! You were sorely missed. Your Thoughts and Ratings are about the only reason I come to LG anymore.

Hope you are feeling better. Kidney Stones Suck!!!!

Welcome back DB. It was great to read your T&R'S especially after such a horrible effort by the Lakers. Is Phil really teaching Sasha a lesson or is he punishing the other players and fans?

only one positive after a VERY DISAPPOINTING road trip, and that's seeing you w/your writeup. db, glad to see you back. hope you're not rushing back too fast. but based on your opening, not much to worry about.

after last night, i officially CANNOT stand farmar. this guy has had opportunity after oppportunity to show that he's worthy of taking the starting pg spot. he has squandered his chance w/piss poor decisions...he really doesn't look for kobe when he's on the floor w/him, running up the floor for a rushed 3 point shot; mind boggling. he doesn't try when his man beats him off the dribble and makes unforced, after unforced to's.

sasha must have really f'd up to get dnp and not be injured. he needs to get on the floor though. phil absolutely needs to find some kind of chemistry w/these guards, and fast!

and dam, i can't wait for drew to get back. next week won't come fast enough. hope he'll be available. pau ain't cutting it now.

"Coherent??" Try "right on" again as if you never missed a beat sitting on Injured Reserve!

I like the Robert Frost touch. Can't say I've seen that line used before in a sports commentary; but in this case it's appropriate on at least a couple levels, considering this stage in the season, the distance this team has to travel to reach it's potential, and another level as well if you draw a line between "promises to keep" and a certain dnp guard.

That being said; I'm not so happy to see Dfish fall apart, agree we need a PG to step up.

Welcome back DB!! Hope you're feeling much better!

I try to bring a little something you don't usually see in sports commentary.

The poem seemed appropriate on multiple levels as you mention...Sasha, the progress yet to be made, and I've also always liked the seductive/death aspects of it, too, which I think kind of equates to the Death March theme, as well. You could stop and disappear into the woods or keep going because there is so much left to do (despite people writing us off). Also, the perspective is from someone atop a horse, which ties in, too, with the Horsemen.

I feel like if I wasn't up against a post-game deadline I could have polished that a little better. (I hate that these are always first drafts.)

Welcome back DB! The only thing on LG that calms my nerves after a loss is your write up. Good to know you are doing well!
