They were up 25 points in the 3rd last night while making one less field goal then our offensively inept Lakers. We pounded the ball inside the whole first half so what are the excuses now? Andrew and Pau took turns dominating in the low post and Kobe was very effective when he shot. Lamar attacked the rim over and over and over getting contact but the Thunder had free reign to be physical with him. There is no doubt we are getting killed in transition and in the half court set @ the point. Transition points have to do with rebounding and aggressiveness on the boards which is a direct result on how physical teams are allowed to be.
Interesting point that I didn't realize. Wonder if the coaches can address this by better and/or different type of spacing to expose the Thunder's physical play. ironic that the Thunder are doing what the Celtics did to the Lakers two years ago.

Question:
Why isn't Westbrook forced to go through various hard (but clean screens) to stay with DFish or Farmar. When CP3 was in the playoffs, this tactic wore him down. With Westbrook not being that effective late in the game, it will make Durant work harder for his shots while limiting fastbreaks.

Just a thought

Phil has to be called out too. Above all, so many years with the Lakers, and he still can't get the team to play foundamental defense?
After winning three rings, another disparaging word about Phil? (Note: He is definitely not perfect, but his success speaks for himself - IMO).

Let's see, we have the highest payroll in the NBA with what many considered 5 All-Stars and/or All-Star caliber veterans with excellent coaches telling what they need to do to win during the PLAYOFFS? Hey, even if you hate the coach - the point is to just win, baby! (sorry, Al Davis).

2 reasons. First that isn't the way we operate on offense. The triangle is built on ball movement and cutting, not MULTIPLE screens. Secondly we really don't want Fisher shooting without his feet set and OKC has decided to pack the paint/double the posts @ all times and force our shooters to beat them.

I personally want to see LO start at the point and for him to force Westbrook to guard him on the drive and in the post and for LO to own the boards from that position. On defense he can back off Westbrook and force him to shoot from 18 feet and out. The only real issue is Odom fouls when he closes out but it seems we foul this guy all the time anyways. Our starters are getting smacked around so Fisher running with the 2nd squad doesn't really change much. We just add another chucker to the list.

*Edited for content and accuracy*

Some may feel what I originally wrote is a cop out. I'd say watch Scott Brooks' interview between the 3rd and 4th quarters. He wasn't as impressed as anyone else. He understands how the game is being called and taking advantage of it, but he's not expecting it to continue for the series. From Phil Jackson's responses I don't believe he does either.

There are multiple options in the Triangle that depend on whether the defender goes under or over screens so how do you say we don't use screens? It's true we don't set multiple screens.

I meant the multiple screens like the type Durant and Ray Allen get. The people on our team that actually could use them are Sasha, Morrison, Artest and Brown. We don't want Fisher running off them.
