The problem with listening to the Lakers broadcast is it has a few seconds tape delay, so you don't see the play and hear about the play at the same time.
Trust me, I've tried it, because I can't stand Collins, either. The guy is still bitter over the fact that Phil replaced him as the Bulls head coach.
He's better than he used to be when he was calling the games on NBC, and every other sentence would start with "In order to beat the Lakers," and then he'd say what he thought the team playing the Lakers, whoever they were, had to do to beat them.
But I won't miss listening to that high pitched, hate filled, raspy voice of his. _________________ I would rather have questions I cannot answer than answers I cannot question - Richard Feynman |

Completely idiotic statement. Kobe is the best player in the game and has been for years now but nobody will ever reach the greatness of MJ. |

Too bad Trevor's probably at home watching the game and crying....I'd have been perfectly happy if he was still here.

when the Suns have the lead: great team play, energy from bench, blah blah blah
when Kobe hits a jumper: what a tough shot, if you're Gentry, you can live with that.
when Suns were behind big: a team with the 3 pt capability of Suns, they're not out of it.
when the Suns were blowing out the Lakers: the David just slayed the Goliath, let's celebrate.
i used to like Collins since he sounds like his a big fan of Kobe, but that has changed in this series. |
Sounds like he was doing his job as a commentator. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

And Gasol was continually being beat on defesne. Nearly all those points they made during that run to start the 4th were against Gasol. He has to get himself out of this 3/4 game funk. _________________ |

I'm reading on all these other boards that Doug Collins was biased toward the Lakers. Surely, you can't all be right. |

Agreed. Jacko always just told it like it is. Other guys would always come and bring up Ariza. It's not about Ariza, it's about Artest playing up to his ability.
Awesome game by Artest. I don't expect him to always play this great offensively, but as long as he's making the other team pay for not guarding him, we'll be in good shape. What he brings defensively will be huge in the finals vs. Pierce, but at the same time he's still gotta make them pay offensively as well. |

Didn't want to make a thread so ill ask here.
Did anyone see Kobe during the WCF trophy award?
And to answer your question: Everyone hates Sasha, even his own country. Should be a TV show on TBS. _________________ Phil Luke
