Why is everyone worried?

Denver just lost by 30 + points to the INDIANA PACERS.

This will be the biggest test to date.

Denver always plays the Lakers tough at Denver and they should be focused after being embarrassed in the last game.

Not having Kenyon Martin available should be a help to the Lakers, but I wouldn't be surprised if tonight is the first Loss of the season.

Let's hope.

Only way he should ever play is if the team is up 25 or (gasp) down 25.

Other than that, waving a towel is how he can best help the team.

Not to say that the Lakers aren't capable of beating Denver, because that's hardly the point. But when a team gets smoked by 30+ and gives up 144 points, you know they're going to be A) embarassed and B) ready to make adjustments. Here's to hoping the Lakers are prepared for a rabid dog up in Colorado.

Sounds about right.

LA's bigs should have a field day vs Denver's front line.

Kobe can break Wilt Chamberlains record tonight.

Kobe is 17 points away from 26,000 for his career. If he hits it anytime before Dec. 15, he'll pass Wilt as the youngest ever to that mark

Most likely one of them will be deactivated. Depends on the matchups. Denver's frontline is kind of short handed so I would expect we won't need Caracter in this game. I expect Ebanks to be activated.

Don't have a good feeling about this one. But then again, I thought we'd lose to the Blazers.

Yeah, me neither. Not so much about the Lakers -- I just think the Nuggets are pissed about their last game and will play with extra fire because of it. That plus a fired-up crowd will make things very problematic for LA. But we'll see.

Ditto. As long as its competitive/Lakers give a legit effort and I'll be good.

I was half out of the room, but I'm pretty sure Charles Barkley just said re: the Lakers/Dever game:

NOT verbatim, sorry. I'm prolly just loopy.

Chuck: "We have the two best teams in the league!"
Ernie: "How's that?"
Chuck: "The Lakers with Pau Gasol as their best player, and the Lakers with Kobe Bryant as their best player."

Did that really just happen? Maybe it's this cold I'm nursing. :/

I guess because its on TNT. I don't think they show KCAL anymore during TNT broadcasts. Not positive about that though.
