lol at everyone overreacting to the loss. just kinda sad.
Sad at what.. that were playing piss poor right as our schedule picks up?
we were on a 7 game winning streak. that's playing piss poor? LOL. anyone who's paid attention to the clips this season wouldn't be shocked at this win by them. they have a metric ton of talent on that team and play with 100% effort every game. there's a reason why the clips have a very good record against the elite teams of the league.
Other than the Cavs game our defense sucks donkey (bleep).. yes all 6 games

Come on, mhan00, 30-12 with one of the easiest schedules in the league, including blowing almost every single "marquee" matchup so far (Denver, Chicago Miami, San Antonio), surely isn't cause for so much optimism. What do you know that we don't?
wtf, laker players sure now how to make a bad name for themselves...everytime they lose they cry and pull stupid (bleep) at the end of game....and why the hell is kobe jacking up three's at the end of the game? he NEVER makes them...Fisher makes more clutch plays that him.

Well this takes any hope of HCA out of equation because you cannot lose any more ballgames to .500 teams after already having dropped 6. You either take it seriously or forget HCA in the West/Finals.
you cant be serious. talk about overreaction, one loss doesnt make the season. cant bleive this place.
It's not one ballgame, it's this season in a nutshell. You have to start taking things seriously, Lakers had an opportunity to take charge of things this month by just winning games they are supposed to win and they dropped two already to sub. 500 teams just this month and four last month. That's not recipe for HCA. They had to take this month more seriously, now it's a situation where you have to win out the rest of the month to have any hope to catch the Spurs. This loss also puts them 3 behind Boston. At some point, you have to get it together as a team and win the games you are supposed to win, period.
so basically your saying forget about HCA b/c of a loss to the clippers.....get real. this is the NBA, sometimes the ball doesnt bounce your way. LA will be fine. we did just reel off 7 straight
It's not one loss to the Clippers, in the season in the nutshell. I'm laying out an argument using season as a whole. This was the key month for Lakers to play solid throughout in order to make up for screwups last two months and they blew it because I don't see them winning the rest of the games this month, they will drop one or two and that's good enough to be out of competition for HCA. You are not going to make up a 7-8 game difference and if Boston doesn't slow down you are not making up that distance either. HCA is not critical for Lakers to win, but it's a factor against veteran teams such as Boston and it makes the Spurs series much more of a challenge for this team. If you can play to secure HCA, you do it. Injuries are no longer a factor for Lakers, now it's all on effort from here on out.
guys im not even sure what happened im torn between wanting to laugh and wanting to cry, this team is confusing. _________________ Bean Town ain't got nothin on La La Land

boston is 30 9 and LA is 30 12. we are not 5-6 games behind them. one 3-4 game slide theyre done. have faith in LA. i know this lg.net where overreaction is common ground. we've been here every year, the last three years. LA WILL BE FINE(you know it too, your just venting)

Four ejections. I don't see where Ron deserved one. Blake and Lamar had walked away. Baron was culprit in this one _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Yet another game that shows how going small gives the Lakers problems. Halfway through the 4th the Clippers put in 3 guards + Blake, and I don't think the Lakers had any clue how to defend that. Clippers took 4 3's from nearly the same spot (made 3 of them) after running their offense, and it was all down hill from there. After Laker D vanished, the offense couldn't keep up anymore either. Overall, a disappointing stretch to close out a game, and it probably brings back memories of the earlier losing streaks of the season.
Still, it's a wash. Clippers nearly won the last one and they come back and win this one so I'm not all that shocked by the results. 3 more tough games this week, a chance for the Lakers to get back on track or start another losing streak.
