Of course the Spurs would win on a blown call. How else could it have possibly ended?

Now we know why SA has such a good record, they were able to call the game fair because it was close, then Kobe draws a clear as say charge on Parker and bam, the damage is done. then they count McDyss' offensive interference putback.

Sure as hell looked like an offensive interference. He was under the basket, should not have been allowed to touch that basketball IMO. I wonder why they never showed the above the basket angle?

Meh. I'm getting an earful from my Spurs fan brother.

Good game. It was fun to watch until the last second.

First thing that came out of my mouth after Duncan took the shot was "Box Out!!!" then boom. tip in.

Phil should've put in Bynum instead. Odom is usually there for closing out shooters but with 4secs left that's not usually what happens.

Two for ones are overrated. Mostly just an excuse for players to take bad shots.

False. Team with last shot has best chance to win.
You shouldn't doubt me, son.

Doesn't matter in the end. They earned it. 4 attempts in the final seconds almost all off offensive boards. Lakers are a lazy ass team. had no business winning the game after giving up so many gimmes.

Kidding, right? Working to get a good look is always better than jacking up a tough shot just to possibly have a few seconds left to put up possibly another tough heave. Also doesn't help when you can't grab any boards.

It was a charge, but that's not going to be called very often in that situation.

Dyess' putback was clean.

Another home loss. Way to protect the home floor this year, 19-8. Pathetic.

LO went braindead twice- left Manu after switching onto him, resulting in a wide open 3.

then he let's Mcdyess get inside position for the putback.

recipe for disaster.

they deserved to lose.

LO and Artest threw up some really questionable shots in the 4th, no ball movement by either of them

Kind of ironic since when they showed Manu's big plays this season on TNT, they had that charge he took on Melo to win that game.

It's called if your Melo and Spurs are on defense!

I thought the Laker D was surprisingly good in the 4th. Still a few too many open shots, but they forced them into TO's and converted on the other end. Of course, they ruined all of that in the final 22 seconds. It always amazes me when college and NBA teams forget to box out on certain plays. I guess you get away with it sometimes, but tonight was just another example of how important it is. Such a basic fundamental and it's sad to see the 2-time defending champs make such a bone headed blunder.

If there's one thing to be happy about, I'm just glad that wasn't a playoff game. Can only imagine how terrible it'd feel if that tip-in cost the Lakers a playoff series.

We could of gone to the WCF in 2005-2006 from one missed play against the Suns (Clippers would have been a gimme). I still have bad memories from that.

Well, all you "defense wins games" (bleep), our defense was there, but we lost. We lost because it takes Defense + Offense.
