VLF just shot his tv, too much Kobe on the screen.

Anyway, onward to the Lion's Den. Must win.

16 pt. 4th for Memphis tonight; 13 pt. 4th for NO last night... at home.

LA starting to crack down in the 4th.

Which is good, considering their O is anything but consistent.

Laker basketball used to be beautiful to watch when Pau first got here. When did we become so difficult to watch? Every game, win or loss, is an ugly game. Even the Spurs are more exciting than us now.

LO is the linchpin in this one. Play aggressive, solid ball, and it should be a win. Have a subpar or average game, and it's probably a loss.

LO with 15 pts, 11 boards, 2 assists, 3 blocks, and team high +14. Props!

So much easier when you play good D. Not that it was a pretty game; offense was anemic and the FT % was awful, put forcing TO's, forcing them into tough shots, and you really ground from getting into any sort of offensive rhythm. That flurry of Laker 3's towards the start of the 4th became enough to put this one away.

Lakers just have to keep winning. OKC is just one game behind. Win over Boston is also huge in potential HCA over them. That's a huge game Lakers have to find a way to win.

And a defiant 3 at the end there by LO - just to piss PJ off.

Great defense by Pau and Drew on Marc and Randolph. Since the guards decided to let Young score 22 points, holding Z-bo and Gasol down made a difference.

^The guards left their man to help the bigs in defending Randolph and Gasol. I'd rather they stick to their man and let the bigs try playing defense on their own. But obviously Phil and the coaching staff think they have a better shot at winning if they collapse inside and bait opposing teams' into shooting 3's. Blame the coaching staff, not the guards. They are just following orders.

GREAT DEFENSE BY OUR BIGS: GASOL, BYNUM, ODOM.

Clap hand: bop bop bop bop bop bop bop bop.

Pau did a superb job on zach. Marc was terrified to shoot from the get go with drew on him, and after missing some shots just curled up into a fetal position. Great job.
