Lakers bench laid an egg today, just cause it's a blowout doesn't mean you stop doing what the coaching staff has instructed you to do. I can understand Phil's anger and frustration in 4th quarter.

Bench is usually energetic in a blowout.

They looked like last year's bench in the 4th.

Officiating hasn't been atrocious today. Refs have more or less let both teams play actually.

There's little the refs could have done to alter the outcome of this game.

I'd say the problem is the blowout started asap. Usually they are the ones that even contribute to making the lead extend. The bench is definitely a energy drive squad, one that drives when we need to come back and the other way around, one that sleeps if they know we're WAAAAY up by a lot.

as he should. No reason for the bench to loaf it in the game where the Lakers were trying to send a message.
