Not to worry! After this game they'll get the opening round HCA, and from there on they'll be singing like Willie Nelson... Who will be singing the lead is the only question.. _________________ "According to ESPN.com's conference projections, the Lakers will finish 12th in the West, which prompted Bryant to tweet earlier this offseason, "12th I see.." |

Why would they want to play Portland or Denver, either one of those teams will sweep the Lakers |

Lakers lucky they own the tie breaker over the Mavs, else they would be a 3rd seed right now.. We also do not wanna meet Miami or Chicago because they own the tie break over us too!!!!!! ESSSHHHHh _________________ New Beginings |

Loss is a loss, but a better effort level overall. Lakers have clearly lost that championship clutchness, and the team fell apart by the seems at the end.
I also have to question why Phil rested the starters so long in the 4th. It's very rare you see this starting unit come in under 6 and don't look a little lethargic, which seems like what happened today. The bench played ok for a bit, but clearly were in the game a couple minutes too long, and wound up giving up the lead. Have to wonder if the starters could've played a bit better, protected that lead, had they gotten more time to work in the 4th. |

Blake was making big shots all game long, and Shannon was just stinking it up, just stupid substitution patterns by Phil, this is an important game, all of a sudden you can fall from 2nd to the 4th seed, easy. No sense of urgency by the whole team, including the coaching staff. _________________ Ringo "You retired too?"

7 game losing streak to end the season looking probable. Looks like Denver will be making a return visit next Sunday. |

Um, the Lakers only have to play 1 team from the East. And they still own tiebreaker over Dallas. |

Kobe with a very uncharacteristic game down the stretch turning the ball over and over and over in clutch situations (well, uncharacteristic for his career, very characteristic of these recent stretch of losses). 'drew earned the right to finish this game, imo, and the lineup should have been 'drew, pau, kobe, artest, and blake to finish the game.
this loss hurt. |
