They only force 3 turnovers the entire game. Impossible to play worse defense than that.
Time to put Kobe on Paul for the rest of the series, Fisher is NOT the answer. |
something has to happen.. Kobe is having a tough time fighting through screens too.. they have to make Paul a scorer and stay home on others. |

Odom was the invisible man today. This is 6th man of the year? Oh well, now that bothersome game is over on to more important things, like his reality show! I can't wait to see him step up it up with his tweets during the show tonight. |

Sad thing is why Kobe would have to call them out. Isn't this the 3rd year of a 3-peat attempt? Pathetic. _________________ God is a Lakers fan........usually. |

lamar and pau were both awful today.
6 of lamars points came at the end after the game was out of reach. he was 1-4 before that with ONE rebound.
pau was just a ball of fail today. never stayed in the paint long enough to do anything, never even held onto the ball long enough to do anything. i was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and thought he'd step up in the fourth. nope.
bynum was okay but when ron outrebounds all the bigs, it means our entire height advantage has been neutralized.
ron on 4-8 shooting and 11 rebounds was our second best player today and our best down in the fourth. this usually means trouble for us, not because ron can't step up but because i expect more out of pau/lo/bynum.
i have no doubt we'll win this series in the end, but we're back to making things harder than they need to be for ourselves. i hope this is the wake-up call that bumps up our focus and determination -- as we get down the line we'll be playing teams where we can't throw a game because of poor focus. |

First time all season where Pau has disgusted me. Lakers could have squeaked by had Pau bothered to leave his house today. Took 47 minutes for Pau to make a semblance of a back to the basket move.
My school district's on spring break and I was thinking of going to the game...glad I didn't shelve out money for this garbage. |

I was called crazy for what I said earlier and for this past month up until now, Pau has been soft and MIA. Maybe still hostage in MIAmi in Chris Bosh locker after getting killed there. |

Exactly. Kobe may get tired, but you have to take that risk. Otherwise, expect more of the same.
I am probably the biggest Fisher defender on LG....but he is finished as a NBA player, he is completely ineffective. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

To me, the play that best summed up the game was Kobe getting picked off in the backcourt, CP3 takes all the time in the world to set up for a 3, and no one can be damned to even put a hand up. If that doesn't sum up the Laker perimeter D ineptitude (and the overall effort today), I don't know what does.
I want to say this loss is a surprise, but it really isn't. Anyone who followed their regular season, particularly the rough patches, certainly saw this team take bad losses at home. Just add this one to the list. If there is a sense of urgency with this team, something I expected would set in once the playoffs started, well...hopefully it shows up sooner rather than later. Lakers played today like it was a November game, while the Hornets gave it their all. Wake up guys. |

Q: "Are you shocked?" A: "Yes."
"We haven't been really good in the morning games"
"Ron was probably the best player we had out there today"
