Monday night. You can officially now make the date 5/2/11. Go Lakers! _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold.
Mavs-Lakers playoff series for the first time in 23 years, sure has been a while. Both teams getting a decent amount of rest going into Game 1 as well, hopefully it'll help the Lakers get rested up re-energized, and not show up rusty.
The Lakers don't like the Mavs and I think Barnes and Artest are going to enjoy punking Dallas. _________________ The killer in me is the killer in you!

If Drew watches the cheap fouls early in these games he can match up on defense with Dirk in the 4th quarters. _________________ "Now we're so happy we do the dance of joy."

wait, if the grizz wins, wouldn't LA play them instead? highest seed play lowest right?
Winner of 1 (Spurs)/8 (Grizzlies) series plays winner of 4 (Thunder)/5 (Nuggets). Winner of 2 (Lakers)/7 (Hornets) plays winner of 3 (Mavs)/6 (Blazers).
that's a wacky setup IMO, why not let the highest remaining seed play the lowest remaining seed. it makes everything easier IMO.

We have the team that never chokes vs the team that ALWAYS chokes. EASY win for the Lakers in this game, and series.
No excuse whatsoever for not SWEEPING these clowns..
Because they choked in past seasons with different players and/or less experience? Okay bud. What about them being a good basketball team and much improved defensive team this season? What about Bynum historically having a tough time matching up against Tyson Chandler? Do you consider the Hornets to be a better team than the Mavs? Because they beat us two times last series. I like your optimism, but we are not sweeping them.

Choked in past seasons? They blew a 23 point lead in Game 4 and damn near blew another lead late in Game 6. I just think over the course of a 7 game series, the Lakers length is going to take its toll on Dallas. Chandler was asked to defend Marcus Camby last series...a guy who plays on the perimeter. It's not the same as having a kid 7'1 and almost 300 pounds leaning on you over a week or two span. Dallas has no inside presence. Their best player is a perimeter guy who will now be forced to play defense because he will be guarding Pau or Lamar. _________________ The killer in me is the killer in you!

I agree that the Mavs choke but Chandler is a good matchup for Bynum. Bynum went against a subpar and undersized Okafar and a bunch of unknowns. Chandler is probably a top 5 center in the league in the playoffs. Dirk is also a good matchup for Pau and LO. Marion is probably going to switch on Kobe which leaves Kidd on someone like Artest who is going to go off.
