I think I'm the only one that rarely washes my hands after using the bathroom...

When I pee I figure that area is the cleanest part of my body since it's under my clothes. It would seem stupid to clean my hands merely for touching my junk, and not washing them for let's say, touching my hair. My thang is clean.

For number 2 if I use a public stall, I always clean no matter what, but at home eh. I touch the toilet paper only so it's not a big deal. The toilet paper again is probably cleaner than my hair or face or arms or hands or legs would be since it's not exposed so much. Therefore, touching the toilet paper = not bad. Same logic as above.

I think mostly I'm just lazy and truthfully it doesn't matter as I never get sick and I'm sure that 50% of the people's hands I shake have been up their crack anyhow so whatever.

Sometimes I don't if I pull down my pants (only touched my pants), pee, and then push the flush with my foot if I'm lazy. Then I pull up my pants and walk out. My hands only touched my pants so need to wash. But usually when I wash my hands, I'm not just cleaning my hands from the bathroom, but from all the germs that have collected on my hands.

^I Think flushing with the foot and opening the door with a paper towel is key. The toilet flusher and the door handle are probably the germiest parts in the bathroom.

I like George Carlin's logic:

"The only time I wash my hands after using the bathroom is if I [profanity deleted by alpha ] on them"...

I ALWAYS wash my hands - reading some of these posts only confirms my paranoia of shaking hands or exiting the restroom without a towel.

Why not just play it safe -

Disgusting.

You should always wash your hands after using the restroom.
I dont care how you go about it, it is cleanliness and respectful towards others who come in contact with you i.e. shaking hands, or paying for something and handling money etc.

Just because you cant see any residue doesnt mean it is not there.

I wash my hands so often I have eczema on one of my fingers.

I spend a lot of time with computers and I don't like to get keyboards dirty. Same thing with clothes, sofa, other people, etc...
I can't eat without doing it before. I use to touch my hair and my face with my fingers so I just like to make sure It doesn't get worse.

There are hundreds of reasons for me.

You might have splatter without really knowing it because it's a fine mist.

Urine is sterile to start, but bacteria multiplies very quickly on it. So DUH, I wash my hands every damn time.

And now I'll be even more paranoid about using a towel to open the men's restroom door.
