Kobe should destroy in this game. He DESTROYS short guards. No way Billups or anybody else on the Clippers can guard him.

Caron Butler is going to guard Kobe according to VinnyD. Billups is going to guard Barnes.

It doesn't matter who's guarding Kobe. It takes more than one-on-one D to stop him.

key to me, is stoppin chis paul from being a distributor. team d tonight will be key. i can only hope the clippers focus too much on kobe, then drew can get a 20/15 game then. if not, kobe's scoring tirade is continuing.

Pau, despite all the hate from the LGers, is the guy who defended better Griffin in the league last season. He is also the guy who defends better D.Howard. The goal should be to make their bigs, specially B.Griffin, to go for jumpshots and not have easy basket/layups/dunks.

That's why it's CRUCIAL to not let Griffin face for a long time T.Murphy or McBob. He'll eat them alive (just like in the 2nd preseason game) and gain confidence.

When it comes to the perimeter, the Lakers can't match-up with Clips'. But the objective is to let them opt for 3pointers. As long as you don't allow the Clips to have points in the paint, you'll have the edge.

CP3 is not a problem if the Clips don't have easy transition points and if their bigs are forced to shoot jumpshots instead of going for layups/dunks.

My strategy is to defend our paint and give them the 3points option.

Also, I love that Kobe is having a 2nd youth and is just hitting everything. But 2night IS the day you HAVE to give the ball to your big men. Not to score more, but to make their PF & C waste energy on the defensive end.

The Clips are the worse match-up the Lakers can have in this league. But the Lakers are also the worse match-up the Clips can find.

It'll be a fun game to watch, no doubts about it.

This game will have playoff intensity...and will be a test for ..........The Lakers, yes this game should send a message to Laker managemant....either get agressive in trade talks or wait for the right fine tunning deal...
Very important game in this young short season...

Pau does a good job on Blake, but he got into ticky tack FT.

Foul trouble is another x factor.

Chauncey is the one i afraid the most for tonight's game. he's a savvy defender who had given Kobe some troubles in the past. he also knows how to draw fouls and shoots a bunch of FTs. Blake Griffin? he's all about empty stats, let's see if he can do anything if it's a close game down the stretch. CP3? just be physical to him and hope his knee problem acting up in the 1st qtr, j/k.

I don't think that we match up well with the Clippers at all. I think the game will be close, but I wouldn't be surprised if we lost.

Fatigue has to catch up to us sooner or later. This is our 14th game in 20 days and the 2nd game of a back to back. I just hope it's not tonight.

Considering the next 4 games, I think winning this one is very important.

Who's the last Laker that stopped Chauncey Biilups? I think it was Shannon Brown in the 2009 WCF's @ Denver. I can't remember stopping that guy at any time since then.

Kobe locked down Billups in the WCF. our issue will be Cp3 in the pick and roll when we play our 2 bigs. our defense will work better when we go small but our offese will be compromised. So we'll end up seeing alot of gasol matched up on Cp3.
