For home games, I usually see it as a cup half-full, but that was some porous defense last night. They had a beatdown by 20 of a team that was on a b2b and it took Kobe to come back in and secure the victory.
With it being a Sunday noon game in the alt uniforms, I hope I don't see it turn ugly with the fans throwing stuff on the court in absolute disgust. Hoping for a great game by the team.

To have any real shot we must hold Miami under 100. They probably want a 110+ point game. As usual against a Lebron team the officiating will be one of the main factors.
Hopefully we at least keep it close in the 4th only to have Lebron choke once again. That would make my day big time.

For all of the talk about Phil's Lakers giving up 3's last year, they actually had a decent 3pt fg% defense ranking until the playoffs. It was all supposed to improve under DVD Mike's heralded defense, but all of those courtesy open 3's in the last game and throughout this season have been frustrating. |

I was afraid that was going to happen. Generally defense is ahead of offense to start the season. Especially in a season like this. But eventually offense will catch up. Even the Lakers offense is looking better the last few games. A good 3 point shooting team will start knocking down those shots that were not falling earlier in the season. I just don't think the Lakers have the athletes to play consistent defense for 24 seconds.

did guys watch the ABC pregame show? Magic Barry,Broussard and Wilbon basically all saying the Lakers need to get revenge on Wade. Even going as far as saying that the Lakers aren't title contender if they don't cause teams can push them around and they won't push back. Also saying that it would have to be Pau because the league will have there eyes on everyone else and it would be out of character for him so he wouldn't get a big punishment basically. They also said it could come from Mcroberts.
Btw if this game comes down to one shot with the Heat having the last shot, i'd have to think this is a bit scripted. They've been building it up on how Lebron is scared to take the last shot, Lebron will take it today watch
