At least he can find it. Can’t say the same for most of the guys I’ve been watching. |

The crazy thing about Kobe being 10/18 with 31 points is that he was actually 1/7 at the half. |

I'm not so worried about the player's individual performances, it's just that the team -- from the starting unit all the way down to the last scrubs off the bench -- have absolutely no fluidity to their games at all.
At the very least, if they have a new offensive principle, don't the coaching staff gotta drill their players and make sure they know their sets? The fact that no one does or even seems to care about it says so much about the coaching staff.
if im coming in to camp with a slight chance to make the team, im listening to everything the coaches say and getting to my spots in the offense, on time, in position. And a motion offense isn't that complicated compared to something like the triangle, players would be able to pick up on it fairly quickly. The only reason I can think the players look so unnatural out there is that the coaches are doing a sh*t job. |

I'm not surprised the Lakers lost this.
I AM surprised we didn't see CDR or DJO play one minute this game. |

EXACTLY! dig out footage of the lakers 4-5 years ago, compare to this team, take away the pure talent factor, you at least get free flow offense back then
heck, i used to watch the game more than commenting on lakersground...'cause it was plain fun to watch! |

You can be critical of the team and/or coach without being a chicken little. Utah came into the game much more serious than we did. Our guys are still treating this pre season like a televised practice. Only, the people coming to see them paid for the ticket. They should get a competitive game.
Im personally embarrassed of my team right now. Outside of Kobe and maybe Ebanks, the effort was not there. They did not compete. They loafed.
Maybe its the pressure of the franchise thinning out the herd on the roster a bit. Our scrubs looked extremely disinterested because they think it doesnt matter. They all know they arent making the team.
As usual, i loved Utah's effort. The spirit of coach Sloan still lives in that team. |

It just boggles my mind that some of these guys don't understand they are trying to make the roster. This is a championship caliber team, they need to put in championship caliber effort.
I think Mike Brown is sending the wrong message that preseason games aren't important. |

Has anyone actually thought that maybe they haven't earned the pt? Just saying, but most of the time the PT is earned in practice. I mean there's a reason CDR wasn't picked up by anyone.
Preseason games in the grand scheme of things don't mean anything. Practice is where spots on this team will be earned. |

The irony is that the players on the floor were not the bubble guys for the most part. They were either players who are assured a spot, or players who already know they're headed out in a couple days. |
