The Los Angeles Lakers have the most dominate center in the NBA and if the gets the ball deep in the post, there is no stopping him.
However, coach Mike D’Antoni wants his big men to work on other aspects of his game, including developing a jump shot. Even though Howard does not shoot a high percentage away from the basket, he has been testing his range throughout the season.

Dave McMenamin of ESPNLA writes that D’Antoni would like Howard to become more of a threat a few feet outside the paint.
“We want to just expand his game all over,” D’Antoni said before the Lakers played the Warriors on Monday. “If he’s going to dominate the league – which he’s young enough and he can – you can’t play within a four-foot box. You got to play. And he’s doing that. He’s getting more confidence. I think that will help him on his foul shooting and it will help his overall game. He shoots the ball well and we want to keep developing that and keep getting better.”
Howard has struggled this season on both ends of the court, but he is finally beginning to look like the center he was in Orlando. The back surgery surely impacted his production on the court and he was not the same player that he used to be. Now in the final stretch of the season, the Lakers have a healthy Howard and someone that they can rely on in the paint.
There is no doubt Howard is an unstoppable force in the paint when in full form, but if he develops a jump shot, teams will have no answer for the center. The NBA game is developing rapidly and most big men in the league can step back and hit a jumper. If Howard does want to become an legendary center, he should continue to work on his all around game as D’Antoni stated.

My company is sending me on a mandatory POSITIVE THINKING retreat for 3 weeks. I'll see you in July (if the bed bugs don't finish me off).
Had you heard the ratio of insects to humans is 200 million to one?
Congratulations, Hillary. You know that on the average, Oscar winners tend to die sooner than other actors and that winning two Oscars increases that chance by 50%.

Looks like Damtoni's going small to start the game. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.
Pau situation is still tricky. I don't know if we should bench him again or not.. But hopefully everything plays out well. _________________ You miss 100 percent of the shots you never take.

Start him for egotistical reasons. Play him more with the second unit to give the bench some height. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Pau's played so well off the bench especially right before he got hurt...Why start him now? If its truly for egotistical reasons I don't want that kind of guy on my team anymore (as a coach, gm, owner) when he's not contributing.

Pringles will always go small if given a choice.
This is probably a loss tonight...because we'll be depending on Meeks to hit open shots, not blow gimme layups and not make a bonehead play on defense. Meeks seriously has be the dumbest perimeter defender in the league...he does everything exactly wrong....and looks really fast/active doing it.
Anyways, Minny's 19 game losing streak to the Lakers probably comes to an end tonight.

Pau started the game on 2/5/13 against Brooklyn that he later got hurt in. In fact, he started the last several prior to it because of Dwight's shoulder injury.
Allowed to be the starting Center, Pau played great, and the team played better going through him.
Lakers 5 pt favorites. Let's do this!! _________________ PG: Dennis Schroder | SG: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope | SF: LeBron James | PF: Anthony Davis |C: Andre Drummond
this is the first time i have said this all season. tonight is a "must win" if we lose tonight i think we could see the roof fall in over the last 10 games or whatever is left.
The last time the T'Wolves beat the Lakers the L.A. starting lineup consisted of Kobe, Brian Cook, Maurice Evans, Smush & Bynum. LOL _________________ You miss 100 percent of the shots you never take.
