Bench the starters and start the bench; at least the Bench Mob is fun to watch and have outscored the so-called starters. The starting five is painful to watch.

For all the whining about no Hill, MDA played him the entire quarter, and chose to close the game with him. That's not doghouse.

Considering how Hill went down last year, I'm not sure it's a bad thing to have him play 15 minutes rather than 25-30.

You actually trust the +/- system?

Well, we scored 9 less points than the other team when Pau was on the floor. You're free to analyze that as you wish.

Probably had more to do with the atrocious 3-20 shooting from the guards who played with him. Jesus.

Just a very uneven game from start to finish. If LAC and GS were useless in predicting how this team would fare without Kobe, tonight looks more or less like what we can actually expect. A decent game from Pau, not great; the rest of our starters combined shot for just <20%. Even though our bench continues to perform on both ends of the floor, sustaining their play to close out quarters needs to be a high priority.

Even with those blemishes, we arguably take this one if not once again for some questionable officiating. Maybe it's time to change up the rotation?

Or maybe the refs just turned their fix on a little bit more when Pau was in? I think 24 might agree with that.

That may be, but they were atrocious when he was out too, but the team was +3. That's a 12 point swing. Pau was good early, but in the second half passive on O, lazy on D, and didn't really want to mix it up for boards. Coming back in he got in Hill's way too.

Overall the team put forth a great effort. We just don't have a lot of talent. Hustle, heart, good coaching and a little luck is what we'll need every night to have a chance.

Four of our so-called starters have been no-shows in all 3 games.

The team still has cofidence. Can't keep losing close ones, might hurt it.

Yup. It seems he's trying to save him to spark the team if they fall far behind and then close the game. Tonight, much like against LAC, we held close, so he waited to bring him in. But in both games he finished. You don't have a guy closing all your close games if you don't like him.

I'm of the arm chair coaching crew that would have put Hil in earlier.

Having said that, it's Mikes call. Love it or hate it, got to put up with it and have faith.
