The team deserves credit for the win, espcially without 3 PGs and no Hill.

I love having Nick Young on this team. How many years did we desperately need someone not named Kobe who can create his own shot?? I feel he's really found his niche here

If Marc was there he probably would have had to. As much as people rag on Pau, he can still easily score inside if teams have no size to put up against him.

Yup. He struggled early on this season, but he's really been bringing it over the last few games. Hopefully he's a Laker for a good amount of time.

Mike Trudell ‏@LakersReporter
LAL emerges with a 96-92 win here in Memphis. Bryant credited Pau Gasol for handling things from the block in crunch time.

Pau Gasol's shot chart was almost exclusively in the paint tonight, and he hit 9 of 12. He was 7 for 9 last night in ATL

Bryant told me that he "twisted" his knee "a little bit," and that it's "a little stiff." Should be OK for Friday vs. MIN.

Nice to see Pau not settling.

0-4 was a very pessimistic outlook. Other than being 4 games in 5 nights, the opponents were pretty marginal.

Marginal? BS. We got beat by OKC and Atlanta, the #3 team in the east. We beat the teams we had a reasonable shot at beating, and we did both on the 2nd night of back-to-backs.

I'll take this result any day of the week, and twice on sundays.

Atlanta is a .500 team in a weak conference, and Charlotte and Memphis are well below .500. Expecting them to lose at OKC is understandable but those other teams are teams that have to be beat.

D'Antoni said he thinks Gasol is back to playing at an "All-Star level" in the last couple games. He's a combined 16 for 21 in last 2.

True that! Especially with 3 injured PGs

3-1 trip would've been really nice. Too bad they went ice cold in the 3rd last night.

Hope they snap their 3-game Staples losing steak on Friday.

We've seen this before, and Pau has faded. He needs to keep this up and not have another three to five game slump.

Mike spoke too soon. Watch Pau go back to 2-10, 4 TO, 3 complaints to refs

I think MDA realized Pau responds better to encouragement and of late he is trying to be more encouraging when speaking about Pau.

Ankywhoo I missed to game due to work so I look forward to watching my recording knowing we prevailed!

LAL end up 2-2 on this trip, losing to OKC and ATL while beating CHA and MEM on the 2nd of both road back to backs. They're 12-13 on season.

Kinda funny that Nick doesn't have a huge smile on his face tonight after a nice win like he normally does.

Edit - whoops there it is.
