Sure he can score and rebound, and I'm sure he is not the only one to blame, but his Defense is atrocious and is a major contributor to the Pelicans having the 14th worst record in the West (with only the Suns being lower) and the Pelicans being ranked 26th worst defensively, in the entire NBA (out of 30 Teams)!
So while having a PF that can put up 20 & 10 sounds awesome, I would rather see the Lakers go in another direction instead of bringing him back...!
Cheers!
The Lakers have gone in another direction, a PF who doesn’t put up 20 and 10 who plays poor defense.
at least he got to punch CP3.
No, he didn’t
he was suspended for throwing a punch... I think he missed that one too... _________________ "Now, if life is coffee, then the jobs, money & position in society are the cups. I thought that the defensive metrics for Jules this year indicate he's been playing ineffective defense IIRC? _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals
its so hard to gauge mans defense because he always ends up in those weird bench lineups they have where nobody can guard anybody and nobody can dribble either
he's generally been a net positive in the starting lineup since he entered it tho from what my eyeball holes are tellin me

oh my bad... in hindsight, both guys are not exactly "power" forwards... _________________ "Now, if life is coffee, then the jobs, money & position in society are the cups. To put it mildly, yeah. Last I checked - and it's been a couple weeks, granted - he was in the bottom 5 at his position. And from what I've seen, gone is the defensive intensity that drove his improvement early last season.

More offensive minded this year. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals
24/10/4 on 54% from the field and 33% from three in his last 5. Outside of Anthony Davis, this kid's the best power forward in the West. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Yeah, and they don’t use him the way he was effective last year on defense _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel
Julius and D'Lo doing so well after being shunned by the Lakers along with this AD trade debacle should have WAY more people questioning the Lakers Front office.....Unfortunately it's more likely to be used as evidence of Luke not being able to develop players.

Fish rots from the head down.
Jeanie is the head. She got rid of Mitch and Jim who were buying into the "build around the youngsters" strategy. And empowered Magic who believes in the outdated mentality that Jeanie also does.
Now it comes back to bite the Lakers. As getting rid of D'lo and Randle RIGHT before they break out even more so essentially made all the time we spent being patient worthless.
The Lakers won't change till everyone that shares that outdated mentality is gone. Mitch and Jim figured it out and were then fired, Magic and Jeanie still believe in it, and will continue to fall short because of it. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

Randle shooting 33% from three taking over 2 attempts from game. That's a pretty big leap he has taken to becoming more of a stretch big. _________________ Showtime 2.0
He's a UFA this summer if he opts out. If we don't succeed in trading for AD could we get him on a one year max deal? That way we have a very good player for next season alongside our young players and Bron while also keeping the flexibility to sign AD as FA in 2020. _________________ Showtime 2.0
