We're obviously hoping the Lakers aren't in range of getting any of them and we want them to have a successful year but as this is the draft section, we should get to talking about these guys
http://www.nbadraft.net/2016mock_draft

Ben Simmons
Skal Labissiere
Jaylen Brown
Damian Jones
Brandon Ingram
Corey Sanders
Jamal Murray
Dragan Bender
Domantas Sabonis
Kris Dunn
Caris LeVert
Tyrone Wallace
Gary Payton II
Brice Johnson
Zhou Qi
Marcus Paige

LOTS of talent here worth talking about Any favorites for you guys thus far?

Caris Levert.
Payton II.

I don't think highly of the HS senior class becoming NCAA freshman.

Of the players listed, I've seen Payton several times on the PAC-12 network and he was pretty exciting. He was the whole team actually.

Fairly athletic and built of good length for the lead guard position, he was not much of a jump shooter beyond 14'. He was able to poach passing lanes well, he defended on the ball as well as anyone in the conference and produced a lot of steals in doing so. He drove and finished at the rim well even in traffic, and he was not limited as a straight-line driver. He rebounded both ends of the court well.

Didn't have much help around him at all, so in a way he operated like a JuJu man, the way that Jordan Clarkson did for the Lakers last year: produced magic on a lousy team. Distribution numbers not great.

This year he'll have some better players near him, so we'll see how well he operates on - and off - the ball, when encumbered by set plays and roles of strong players. He could be conference PoY next Spring, wouldn't surprise me one bit if he did.

Ben Simmons looks like a man and he seems to have gained extra strength. What is his real position though? SF? PF?

Ben Simmons On Snapchat: ‘You Can Catch Me On The Lakers Next Year’

Most fans of the Los Angeles Lakers are hoping to see a big improvement this season compared to last year, but if that doesn’t happen, there is a light at the end of the tunnel in top prospect Ben Simmons. The LSU forward has drawn comparisons to LeBron James due to his size, athleticism, and playmaking ability.

Simmons will surely be one of the top two picks in the draft next season, and apparently he already has an idea of where he will be headed. Simmons posted on Snapchat that fans will be able to catch him on the Lakers next season via The Big Lead:

The Lakers still owe their draft pick to the Philadelphia 76ers via the Steve Nash trade of 2012. The only way the team retains the pick is if it lands in the top three.

Simmons clearly believes the Lakers will be one of, if not, the worst team in the NBA this season hence why he sees himself with them next year. The Lakers organization, however, is likely not expecting that same finish.

PF. Doesn't have the range at SF.

Man, not even bothering to research this year. Hopefully we get a nice top 3 gift from Silver.

I like Kris Dunn's game too much.

Not sure how we'd even get him.

The Lakers are stocked with up and coming talent. It would just boil down to trades.

I'm all for BPA, but if Byron stays as a coach, Kris Dunn fits his structure better than Russell.

Intersted to see if Malik Pope's game takes the next step and he projects to be what Brandon Ingram projects to be.
I like Ingram's game, still can't get over how skinny he is , maybe one day he can get to pre-NBA Durant's body http://img.bleacherreport.net/img/article/media_slots/photos/001/918/176/hi-res-523c6804d4627b80fc72e1551baedba4_crop_north.jpg?w=630&h=420&q=75

crazy measurables on this kid, ala Durant.

Not to try to bring things down to earth, but Ingram's measurements are very similar to UCLA former freshman, Trevor Ariza.

Agreed. And I thought I was overrating the guy, but he's a blend of Clarkson/Russell. Strong midrange, athletic, high assist %.

It definitely seems like one of those drafts where it's not going to be certain until the pick is called.

true. He arguably has more positive qualities than Clarkson and Mudiay. If Clarkson could pass like Dunn, he'd be our starting PG going forward. Dunn is also quicker off the dribble in the half court than Mudiay, with a more consistent midrange shot IMO. although Mud's shot has improved, i still don't see it being lethal consistent ala Clarkson ; while Dunn's midrange shot can be.

Hibbert / Randle / Ingram / Russell / Clarkson.

This line-up seems pretty good.

I'm interested to see Skal Labissiere play this year. His measurements are almost the exact same as Amare Stoudemire.

I know we're arguing over measurables, but

2" height.
3" wingspan
2.5" standing reach

Significant at the SF slot.

What's crazy is those few inches make it just that much easier to see the hoop, follow through with a shot, have a longer stride, grab rebounds, etc.
