He should drop that answer, if it's even true. Not very endearing to engage in a my supporter vs hers debate and stupid on his part as a candidate. Should just find an answer that attempts to bring everyone under the same umbrella that he himself wants to hold. He has the mentality that his voters already came to the show when he needs to be thinking about making converts more than defending what he considers his demo. In 2020, it could be his ass' turn failing to garner key demos that aren't already in his flock.

Yet another amongst countless examples of why Bernie needs to be moved on from. For all his "for the people" bluster, he's just another arrogant politician in it for his own ego. And this is coming from someone who voted for him in the last Primary.

I thought Bernie should have dropped out earlier and thrown his support to Hillary. It may not have made a difference, it would have shown unity. This is not the time for division.

He was embarrassing on Chris Hayes the other night. Couldn’t give a cogent statement on his foreign policy doctrine, and when pressed about how hard it is to get one big priority through for a new administration, what will he do to get so many through simultaneously, he responds, “because I will be president”.

So what he’s learned from the last 3 years is to mimick Trump.

I watched a replay of Bernie's CNN town hall on Youtube, and I heard the same old Bernie Sanders I heard 3 years ago. I don't think his ego has gotten out of control by any means. At least this time he'll have the benefit of being able to know what worked well in 2016 and what didn't work so well.

If I had to nitpick, it would be the same thing I would've said back then, and that's that he should repeat the same talking points less often and go into a little more detail on how he would implement the things he keeps talking about.

Pretty sure LG pretty much mimics the voters, at least democratic primary voters. Time for new blood. No Bernie, no Hillary, no Warren, no Biden.

Bernie: caused Hillary election, elected Trump
Warren: white priviledge Native American claim
Kamala: Anti-Black policy prosecutor
Klobuchar: yells staff, rude
Booker: Pharma pocket
Castro: will do reparation (don't see anything wrong with this actually)
Gabbard: war hawk conservative
Schultz: spoiler rich billionaire
Beto: anti-Black in Texas

We need a "Social Media 101" class beginning in 5th and 6th grade

Eugene, Oregon 1998 my internet 101 instructor told us
Anonymity was biggest draw
And people can be any gender digitally

He was a hippie

Death by 'fake news': social media-fuelled lynchings shock India
10:10 14/07/2018

The smartphone footage shows the two blood-soaked men pleading for their lives. Moments later they were dead, two more victims of lynchings sparked by rumours spread on Facebook and WhatsApp in India.

The two men were young and well-educated. Gregarious, dreadlocked musician Nilotpal Das, 29, and his businessman friend Abhijeet Nath, 30, were both from Guwahati, capital of the northeastern state of Assam.

On the fateful day last month when they were beaten to death by a crazed village mob wielding bamboo sticks, machetes, and rocks, the friends were driving back from a day in the country, near a popular waterfall.

"He liked to listen to the sounds of nature to find inspiration for his music," his grieving father Gopal Chandra Das, 68, told AFP at their home, the television table in the living room now a shrine to his son.

WhatsApp 'horrified'

Viral rumours about kidnappers, spread through Facebook and WhatsApp, have led to the lynching deaths of some 20 people in the last two months in India, according to a tally from local media reports.

Indian authorities have scrambled to respond but awareness campaigns, public alerts and internet blackouts have had limited success in deterring the spread of misinformation.

Instead, officials blamed WhatsApp for the "irresponsible and explosive messages" being shared by its 200 million Indian users - the company's largest market.

WhatsApp said it was "horrified" by the violence and promised action. The social media giant took out full-page advertisements in Indian newspapers offering "easy tips" to sort fact from fiction on its platform.

"Together we can fight false information", the slick adverts declared.

Child kidnappers

On their June 8 excursion, the two men were unaware that "fake news" on child traffickers had been spreading on social media in the area.

Facebook amplifies the most extreme views. It's not reflective of active Democratic voters. A large majority of Dems out there don't care about the bolded especially.

538 did some fairly recent polling: https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/which-2020-democrats-already-have-a-fan-base-and-which-dont/

The net favorability rating for Sanders, Warren, Harris, Booker, and Beto are all over 30%. I don't see a repeat of 2016 happening.

‘Sustained and ongoing’ disinformation assault targets Dem presidential candidates

Quote:
A POLITICO review of recent data extracted from Twitter and from other platforms, as well as interviews with data scientists and digital campaign strategists, suggests that the goal of the coordinated barrage appears to be undermining the nascent candidacies through the dissemination of memes, hashtags, misinformation and distortions of their positions. But the divisive nature of many of the posts also hints at a broader effort to sow discord and chaos within the Democratic presidential primary.

I'm a democrat who wants radical change within the party, but want trump out even more.
Biden/Beto
or
Biden/warren
or
Biden/Harris

This one time, this is the way it's gotta be- we need a center candidate who can peel off some repubs and this time the progressives like susan sarandon need to shut up, realize its "not about you" and tow the effing company line.

I think the issue is picking someone who hasn't been picked apart and attacked for decades like Hillary. That's the issue with Hillary. Warren, fair or unair, has too much baggage. Bernie isn't a Dem and is not a team player, don't like him. Biden is fine, I guess. Boring, but he can win back the midwest.

The Republicans will emphasize the fact that he's a convicted liar over and over and over again, and the Democrats will have to be ready to counter that without making him into a good guy, which he is not. They can bring up the fact that there are thousands of cases of really bad guys cooperating with the government in order to bring down other people. If he has documents, that's even better.

That's it? Do you know what kind of baggage President Trump had and still has? The people that cared about HRC emails were not going to vote for her anyway. Same with Warren.

But, I do think Warren will attract more independents than Hillary did.

Thanks rib, I'll set my alarm clock. I'm anxious as to how much he can reveal. He's been on the hot seat for the last two day and I haven't read or heard any leaks.
