That Kelly Loeffler done caught the 'Rona...with her insider trading ass.

Ha, and she was just hanging out with VP Fly-head Pence and fellow insider stock trader David Perdue. Tots and pears.

Black Detroit voters sue Trump campaign over effort to invalidate election results

Quote:
A group of Black voters in Detroit announced they are suing President Donald Trump and his campaign, alleging the targeted effort to overturn the election repeats one of the "worst abuses in our nation's history" by attempting to disenfranchise African American voters.

Specifically, the suit takes issue with the campaign's effort to overturn the results of the election in Michigan by blocking the certification of results in Wayne County, home to Detroit, and attempting to "intimidate" and "coerce" state and local officials into replacing electors.

"Central to this strategy is disenfranchising voters in predominately Black cities," the suit alleges. "Repeating false claims of voter fraud, which have been thoroughly debunked, Defendants are pressuring state and local officials in Michigan not to count votes from Wayne County, Michigan (where Detroit is the county seat), and thereby disenfranchise hundreds of thousands of voters."

The NAACP Legal Defense Fund said it filed the new suit in a D.C. federal court on Friday on behalf of the three voters and the Michigan Welfare Rights Organization. The suit asks a judge to block Trump and his campaign from "continuing to exert pressure" on officials in Michigan, or any other state.

The president and his allies have for weeks been derisively accusing residents of Detroit and Philadelphia, which have large minority populations, of orchestrating a massive election fraud -- a baseless claim for which they have produced no meaningful evidence. The complaint pours through many of those statements, which include tweets and public statements, as evidence of the effort.

"No more," the lawsuit demands. "The Voting Rights Act of 1965 flatly prohibits Defendants' efforts to disenfranchise Black people and assault our Republic."

Good for them!

So as Nero burns down our democratic society as we know it by sowing fear and mistrust amongst millions, anyone have any good ideas how to fix this mess after he is out of office?

Trump attacking Republican governors and other Republicans because he's a whiny ass pathetic sociopathic loser.

Governor Larry Hogan @GovLarryHogan

If you had done your job, America's governors wouldn't have been forced to fend for themselves to find tests in the middle of a pandemic, as we successfully did in Maryland.

Stop golfing and concede.

This RINO will never make the grade. Hogan is just as bad as the flawed tests he paid big money for!

Donny doesn’t care if it’s true or not. He only cares that he can manipulate it and push it to narrate the lies.

Young voters set turnout record, aiding Biden win

Quote:
Between 52 percent and 55 percent of eligible adults under the age of 30 voted this year, according to estimates by the Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement at Tufts University.

Four years ago, the center estimated that between 42 percent and 44 percent in that same group cast a ballot. Even in 2008, when young adults turned out at record levels to back then-candidate Barack Obama, those records hovered around 48 percent.

Now Trump's team is saying that that the crazy lawyer Sidney Powell is not really part of the Trump team of lawyers and doesn't work for Trump.

When you are viewed as more crazy than Rudy!

Or maybe she wants to bail now and Trump wants to break up first.

Someone re-posted a Parler tweet (or whatever you call a post on Parler):

This was done so that Powell wouldn't have a conflict of interest once she's made the director of the FBI in the second Trump administration.

*If you don't know, Parler is the conservative twitter that many are migrating to these days.

Trump's succeeding in his effort to stay relevant. He knows he's lost.

He's in the headlines daily. His shenanigans are to get attention and he's getting plenty.

He needs this to feed his narcissistic personality and to gin his cult. If the media stops giving him play he may commit sideways.

TIME LEFT UNTIL TRUMP LEAVES OFFICE

The president was not pleased by the loss in the PA suit, per people familiar with what took place. Powell was easiest to vote off the island, especially as the president was getting complaints about her from a number of people.

Specifically, the suit takes issue with the campaign's effort to overturn the results of the election in Michigan by blocking the certification of results in Wayne County, home to Detroit, and attempting to "intimidate" and "coerce" state and local officials into replacing electors.

I'm not sure how this lawsuit makes sense. What is the legal injury? Most of Trump's lawsuits have been swiftly rejected. There has been no disenfranchisement.
