Having a defensive trio of KCP/AC/Dennis at the point of attack is nice to have. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Yeah, and I think that's why Vogel went back to Dennis to help close last night It certainly felt like he trusts him on D. Dennis did help bring the ball up court every possession, which helps, but offensively that was a game where you would sit him. But I think Vogel trusts the D and played him. Curious to see how we close more tight games. |

LB, AD
KCP, Caruso
Harrell
Kuz, Matthews, Schroder
Morris
Gasol, THT
LB and AD are the core.
KCP and Caruso play well alongside the core 2. KCP takes advantage playing alongside the core and Schroder and keeps hitting open shots. Caruso do so many details things to help the team
Harrell is the finisher near the rim
These are our best lineup
Kuz is so dynamic. He plays 2-4. He move well off the ball. So many back door. His defence is improving. Matthews is a veteran 3D and play well alongside the core. Schroder is so talented but not comfortable yet alongside the core 2
Morris is a stretch 4 and plays veteran defense
Gasol is a good defender but not finisher at his age. We haven’t played his strength yet. We are saving his energy and may do it later the season |
Staring at this list and I can't say I disagree in terms of "current importance."
I think Gasol's impact is certainly bigger and Schroder would be with Harrell if not for our guard depth. As the season goes along, I think he probably rises. But if we're doing a school yard pick to play a single game, might along those tiers. |

The Lakers simply can’t lose Caruso this offseason. |
Caruso is the 3rd most important player on this team and he does not even need to score to make an impact. His intangibles are off the charts. I don’t advocate for overpaying any role player but Caruso have to be a priority more than Schroder. If Jennie wants to be cheap , we can give away Kuz just to retain Caruso or we can forget about extending Schroder and take off the THT leash . |

I agree with you that he is the 3rd most important player. He facilitates the offense and he can take the toughest guard assignment which is a big deal in the West.
Look what he did to Harden. Best Harden defender in the league.
He’s such a key player. We really miss him when he’s out. |

He's certainly one of the best. I don't expect him to maintain this current clip shooting the 3 ball but if he can be a career 40% plus from 3, he'll be in the league for 10+ years.. Hopefully it's with us. I already love him as much as Coop, Fish, and Horry. _________________ The butter's hard and the eggs are chillin' in the dark.

AC has impressed of late. Give me a Lebron, AD, KCP, and 2 guards(AC/THT) and we will win. |

Great to have a homegrown duo like AC and THT. I hope they both stay with us for years to come. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

Well, if we take SDinwiddie case who also was an undrafted player that played 2 years in the GLeague and sign a free agent contract in 2016 and was extended in 2018 for 3/34 with a player option, then you can base in the similarities that it can be done. We will need to ask emplay or similar to know for sure if AC applies. |

Love how he made Trez shake hands with THT. Guy is the ultimate teammate and just impacts the game whenever he’s on the floor.
He’s the 3rd most valuable player behind Lebron and AD. We need to do whatever to keep him. |

If they can negotiate, I wonder if his path is related to DS. If he keeps hitting from outside and can be had in the 10M range, and they already plan to match THT, you have to look at options with DS.
If DS wants a 3rd or 4th yr, you have to consider if the 3 guard rotation you'd have long term (KCP, Caruso and THT) is enough and if it's better to trade DS for a long term affordable peice rather than choose to not match what he may get on the market.
If the right deal comes around you have to consider it, but even if you want to stand pat one or both of these guards may walk. If you can get a defensive 3 or big, they may have to make the move. |

I would sign Caruso to an extension early before he be becomes a free agent this summer ie like Kuz. $20 mil for 3 would be a bargain for us. He just plays very well with LBJ and AD that u can’t gamble losing him this summer. I have a feeling somebody will put some serious cash on Caruso since he has not yet reach him prime and have not gotten the break to have heavy minutes. You can’t pinpoint anything great about his offensive skill, but he is an elite defender, now a knock down 3pt shooter, physical, energy, sacrifice his body and seems to be at the right place all the time. |

Caruso is loyal.. and he's a winner.
Hard to believe he doesn't sign an extension with the Lakers unless he gets an offer that is just so much more... and in that situation, it would be hard to blame him.
The player deserves the money that is coming his way. |

That bump and stopping the ball right as Sexton drove towards the paint. Literally Sexton just could not get any more beyond that spot. He is easily our most valuable defensive guard, and again came up with a timely 3 pointer in the 4th. I was worried about this game a bit in the 4th. Even with Bron going. Then Frank put in Caruso, and then went to AD to the 5 (Took out Trez, brought in Dennis). I knew the game was over right then. That AD-Caruso 5-1 defensive tandem is just ridiculous when we have them in those roles. |

I'm sure Lebron knows how valuable AC is and how well AC compliments his game. No way the Lakers don't do everything in their power to retain Carugoat |

Caruso is solidified as a legendary Laker role player, coming in when we were at our worst, sticking here and bouncing back and forth between the G-League, and becoming a champion.
The legend grows... |

If caruso was given more minutes guarding Sexton, I think he will shut him down completely. |

I watfched the highlights, Sexton didn't score any points against AC's defense , most of his scores was from DS defending him. |
