Then the Saints get it on the half yard line and the Rams still have enough time to get it back with amazing field position and score. Plus there is a chance of a safety, a turnover, a blocked punt or big return which is a disaster for the Saints. Saints are in a very shaky spot in that scenario.

all that sounds bad but at the end of the game with the lead and the ball is where i want to be

I agree, this was a different kind of game (low-scoring). Can't fault him for that win or lose.

Actually he got lucky because of that penalty they didn't call in the end zone. But it all worked out.

Luck is part of the game. Missed calls happen, he cant predict whats going to happen. He just made a decision that he thought would give him the better chance to win and he was right.

The Rams were good enough to win no matter what decision he made.

Two weeks off with hopefully good weather for practices I feel pretty right now. I just hope Gurley is okay.

Stop debating the 4th down call, I’d go for it if it’s up to me, but the results are just as good. Think of this way, had the Rams went for it and scored a TD, with the team down by 4 with over 2 mins left Saints would’ve open up their playbook, and we all know how bad Rams secondary is, they were lucky today on couple calls.

Who do we want to play in the Super Bowl. Pats or Chiefs?

That guy is soft as a paper tissue, I’d only use him on 3rd down passing situations as a receiver out of back field.

Okay I will let the call go. It's dumb of me to keep repeating. Great job by McVay and we are going to the super bowl!

He's not soft come on. There has to something physical going on.

The Saints offense didn’t do (bleep) after they were up 13-0 though.

I think there were about 4 minutes left. As much I would have loved to go for it and convert, IMO it was too big of a risk to not get it. We'd be down and giving the ball to Brees who was marching down the field with relative ease for most of the game. If he has the whole field to work with that's a lot of time he can kill before we get a chance to get the ball back. And that's assuming they don't score to go out 2 possessions.

I don't think it's smart to trade a guaranteed tie and trusting your defense vs a possibility of still trailing and putting even more pressure on your defense (and offense if you get the ball back). I think it was 100% the right call even if we didn't win. The stakes were just too high IMO.

It’s different sutuarions, when they are desperate they will take some chances.

That non-call was bad. The timing of it amplifies it though. Had it happened earlier in the game like some blown calls against the Rams people wouldn't be talking about it.

yeah the non call was bad but the saints had opportunities to still win the game.

People act like this call 100% decided the game. Brees shoudn't have thrown that interception, couldn't establish the run game, their defense couldnt prevent the rams from getting into field goal range. Great teams make plays and win games despite refs incompetence. The rams made the plays at the end and now they are in the SB despite some calls going against them.

Congrats Rams fans.

At least the SB so far is halfway watchable.

I’ll let you guys have the last word on this. The Rams are going to the Super Bowl and I don’t want to ruin the mood in here. I’m still amazed at how good that 57 yard kick was. The 48 and 57 yarders were only the biggest kicks of his life.

Who'd a thunk that Gurley would play so poorly, and Donald and Goff would be just averagish and yet the team would win?

McVay is certainly not an idiot and the team is certainly more than those three.
