Has nothing to do with Klutch. AC is a solid roleplayer but Lakersnation as a whole overrated the hell out of him because he's a balding white guy that looks like he's 50 and is "sneaky athletic". To me THT has exponentially more upside than AC, and it's not even close.
Honestly I find it kind of annoying this "meme fandom" that has emerged around Caruso because it doesn't allow for a measured evaluation of his talents. You go to any Lakers forum and it's all like "HE'S A GAWD!" It gets so old after a while. And don't even remind me of when Lakers fans tried to vote him into the All-Star game. |
We try to vote everyone to the All-Star game. Lonzo and Kuz got a lot of votes here as well.
There is a meme where people say Caruso is the GOAT, but nobody is doing that here. Him being a great defender is a fact. He has done it for multiple seasons at this point. That is valuable to us. Obviously he is a lacking offensive player. He does play well next to Lebron. Which obviously helps hide his offensive struggles. People saying he is one of the better perimeter defenders is not the same as calling him the GOAT. That is clearly a strength of his game. |

| One thing to keep in mind is the Lakers probably need to keep both Caruso and THT just to have some tradable salary in the future. Matching up salaries at the deadline or next offseason becomes near impossible with just vet min contracts on the books. So I think they keep both |

All these Buddy hopes....Maybe we can't get a sign a trade done.
Wouldn't it be nice if we actually had tradeable salary after December 15th? Maybe Buddy is still available.
If only we had tradeable salary on the books that could get close to reaching Buddy's salary. Maybe like Caruso and THT's new salaries? Still could trade a 2027 1st in trades. We need to actually have tradeable salaries that add up though. |

Suns just dealt for Shamet likely in anticipation of losing Payne to free agency. They have to give big deals to CP3, Ayton and Bridges, to go with Booker and other salary already on the roster.

| A solid SG we should look at is Furkan Korkmaz. Solid shooter who avg 10points last season and his defense is decent enough. I’m hearing a lot of Danny Green and Avery Bradley returning, which I don’t mind but we should def look into guys under 30 and who could be apart of the future. Korkmaz and Bryn Forbes are 2 guys I’d love to add as shooters. |

I think it's far more likely it ends up being a separate deal then it ends up getting folded into the Russell Westbrook deal, unless the Kings are adamant that they want Kyle Kuzma and Montrezl Harrell.

I think the Kings want KuzEll.
The hard part is finding a 4th them that wants Dennis and that Dennis wants back, who also has a player that the Wizards are happy to receive.

I just have a hard time thinking the kings would give us Hield after we just got Westbrook. Hield is literally the ideal SG for that team. The kings would have to really love the offer. I’d hope they’re really into Myles Turner. I mean they might see Holmes walk so they could be in hunt for a C and he fits that team well. Crossing my fingers there’s stuff going on behind the scenes and once Aug 6th hits Hield is a Laker |
