That's on Trevor. He overvalued himself when there was a ready replacement in MWP.

And if bought out he will go back to the team that shunned him instead of the team that paid him?

Mitch and Jim aren't here anymore. Rockets also have a new owner that chose not to pay him.

BTW, what the heck happened with Josh Jackson? Barely playing and averaging 7/2/2? They have young wings that need to play and develop in TJ/Jackson/Bridges.

He can't shoot, has 2-option vision, needs to get a step through running curls off screens, gets pushed around a bit.

Got to be rough being a Suns fan. So many draft pick misses.

Booker is good and Ayton is not a bad pick, just don’t know if I would have picked him #1. I prefer Doncic especially in today’s game.

They stole Booker. Ayton is fine, just needs patience. Even then he's already putting up numbers.

Their coach though? That dude is underrated. Suns lack experience on the team, and they're not cohesive defensively. Melton gets no PT. I think JJ was more of an intangibles pick, just like Sexton was. Mikal Bridges and TJ Warren are legit. They're actually around where the Lakers were just last year, except they don't have a quality point guard. There's an argument, and a relatively fair one, that their drafting is PERFECTLY fine, and even with the miss in JJ and Bender, the rest of the guys are at expectation or overachieving.

It’s still early, but I’m surprised by JJ struggling this much. I thought he would be a decent pick. He seemed to get better as last season went on, but this season he is off to a really slow start.

I like their coach too. They aren’t as bad as that record, I don’t think. Just takes time to eliminate losing culture and identifying which players to retain/not retain.

Idiot Crawford could have had a nice role on this team as a guy who can give us a spark off the bench with 3pt shooting but decided to join the trainwreck PHX team even SAS was shocked by his decision to join the Suns, he could have played the James Jones role on this team and play for a title.

Rox refused to pay for him 3 months ago but Ariza is more upset about what happened 8 years ago?

Exactly what I was thinking. The people who dumped him in favour of MWP 10 years ago are no longer here. The people who didn't pay him last summer on the Houston side are still there.

If he's holding a grudge shouldn't Houston be the more logical choice for it to be directed against since the people responsible for not paying him still run the place.

Who is he going to be angry with in the Lakers. We have new management now.

If anything, an Ariza who still nurses a grudge should be happy that the people who didn't pay him got fired by the new owner of the lakers. This should in turn give him an incentive to come, since the new owner of the lakers did him a solid.

Have a feeling Ariza made a wink-wink deal with Houston to ask for a buyout midseason and take their room exception. Sounds crazy but thats just me.

I don’t think you are far off. I see him back with Houston.

They are struggling on defense and desperately miss him on the wing. They will not be bad enough for him to go elsewhere.

Ariza is better off going to OKC especially if Roberson can’t come back with the same elite D.

I also feel Ariza is being overrated due to nostalgia. His Laker days were probably his best seasons. We don't even really have a need for him.

TJ Warren would be a nice fit on this team and he can shoot the 3 ball.

Mikal Bridges, De'Anthony Melton. 2nd rounder.

he dont strike me as a 3 pt shooter. Kind of an Ingram type I think.

We need 3/D, low usage, multi positional defender. We have guys who fancy themselves as scorers but don't want to do the tough gritty work. That's Ariza. And if the cost is trading expirings or signing him as a buyout guy, we have nothing to lose.

I mean, I'd hate to trade Zo, but if I HAD to trade with PHX and make it reasonable, I wouldn't ask for either of their top 2 prospects.

Thing is, Zo would make that team blow up. Oh well.
