It's a tough loss, but people are overdrawing conclusions. We were missing two key players and lost to a disciplined team by a basket in OT.

Bright sides: Jonathan Williams looks like at least a patchwork solution to our backup 5 problems, meaning Kuzma shouldn't have to do it anymore. We shot average from 3.

Downsides: Lebron had to play 43 minutes. The 12-million Dollar Man was basically benched after 19 and did jack when he was in. The fact we shot average from 3 is something to rejoice over (and possibly a fluke).

I think Hart/Kuz (not at C)/Zo getting solid minutes will produce positive 3pt outcomes.

I hope KCP isn't a lost cause, because he has to be a net neutral NBA player like last season for this season's team to produce.

I agree, though their minutes will go down obviously when the far-less confident-from-3 Rondo and Ingram rejoin.

I want KCP to not be awful either, but how many minutes do we waste on that enterprise? If Lebron can't make you look good, who can?

We keep getting killed on the boards man

Too many (bleep) 6 foot 8 players on this team

Guys who can rebound will not be tolerated by this FO, especially when we need 6th and 7th ball-handling wings who can't shoot.

Wrt KCP, he's been passable to league average as a 3pt shooter on volume pretty much his entire career. Last season's stint where he was going back and forth to jail (Maginka and Jeannie still haven't gotten (bleep) for that atrocity) made sense why he struggled, but his play right now makes zero sense.

He went from a net neutral NBA starter to one of the worst players in the league. There has to be some regression to the mean for KCP.

I hope.

I’m glad you came to this conclusion after a large sample size of 3 games

Luke is correct. The refs have screwed us TWO games in a row now. They keep rewarding flopping while not calling actual fouls in the paint. We're aggressive and dominating driving to the hole and scoring in the paint yet we don't get the calls or free throws

Oh I agree the officiating calls are baffling but our defense sucks. Period. Point. Blank.

I know its only 3 games but we have to ask ourselves

Are guys going to grow into 7 footers and magically become better rebounders?

Will we somehow turn into a great shooting team? I’m sure we will start shooting better than we have , cant possibly get any worse but this doesnt change the fact that there is obvious issues with the roster

We dont even have a backup C that can play. We are praying for rookie Wagner to come back and save us

This D is ALL TIME BAD right now. Fix that and we will win some games. I can see 0-8. Will be interesting to see how the FO responds.

What kind of response could there actually be?

Coaching change won't save this team.

They screwed our defense from last season during the off-season.

So we got offensive improvement, but aren't retaining the defense we had last year so that we are taken over the top.

Now we're just all offense, no defense. That's on the FO.

Cant really argue with your conclusion. It's astonishingly bad. Cringeworthy doesnt even describe it. More like...grab my TV and chuck it out the window...if I could afford it.

I agree. Sure he went up against Derozan who has basically torched everyone these past two seasons but come on. He needs to show us something more.

12 million this season

Most likely internal. We may hear little about it, but I'm sure it's already started.

Easier to play D off makes and Fts than off plays/posers ions when your were guys are fouled with no call...
Defense sucks but greeting Fts help a lot.

I'm actually encouraged by what I saw. Our young core played up to the potential we expect from them.

So far we've fallin just short of winning. With a few tweaks, and better defense we are a formidable team.

It's just one game guys.

Agreed, the young guys and McGee really supported Lebron tonight.
