I think it was the Cleveland game...maybe another...but the other teams color commentator said something that stuck with me, and I have kind of noticed it may have been accurate. He said he had watched film on Kuzma almost every game this year while Lebron has been out, and he pointed out how different of a player Kuzma is when he is scoring and his shot is falling, and when it is not during the games without Lebron.
He pointed out that when Kuzma is the leading scorer, he is more engaged on the boards, defense and is willing to pass the ball to the open man. In contrast, he claimed when Kuzma is not scoring, he becomes very selfish....plays little defense, and will go out of his way to not pass to his other young teammates, almost in fear they will score more and take on the role he wants so badly to be recognized as....but instead will jack up bad shots trying to be the leading scorer. |
I think a lot of the team is like that. When things are going well, they all shoot 90% but when the going gets tough, it's a different story. |

Ingram has just played average... but what some of us get annoyed about is that some of you say nothing when other players have off games... but Ingram gets the full wrath of the board when he does. |
SM I know you’re an intelligent guy, and I’m sure you’re fully aware that most of the time when Ingram has a good scoring game, we lose. Do you see this as just a crazy coincidence? |

Nope, it’s either Ingram’s fault, Luke’s fault or the training staff’s fault. Everyone else is golden. |
It's because most people expect Ingram to make that leap and be our second best player. |

Then that shouldn't be on him should it? If Ingram is productive but we have 6 other guys being zeros is that on Ingram? I seriously dont understand why we bash the only guy being productive. Yet we have other players being cold as ice yet we dont see 1/3 of the bashing on them that Ingram gets.
Ingram is not Kobe he's not going to be the 28PPG scorer. But if developed properly he can be a damn good player. |
Who is bashing him though? What is with people creating this boogeyman that doesn't exist?

Young guys aren't ready for the burden of carrying. Kuz has been invisible on both ends tonight and BI although has his points doesn't affect the game at all. |
