Worthy meant just for tonight’s game, just FYI.

That tweet above has no context.

P.S. please change the thread title since it misquoted the actual quote from that tweet itself.

Rondo has been awful since that Boston game. The whole bench has honestly. Bullock has been good, Kuz has been good, Ingram has been great, Bron has been great.. That's about it

Your an idiot if you don't think that Magic and Pelinka were the ones being suckered in. Bron recruited an MVP player to their doorstep, and they messed up the trade talks. Bron has always recruited, he don't put together trade packages

You must have missed the reports that the Lakers offered everything but Lebron, including the Oscar De La Hoya statue outside of staples, and the Pels said no.

not terribly mad at the Rondo signing, but between KCP/Beasley/Lance, we tied up $21MM. Lopez, Randle combine for $13MM.

I still don't quite blame Rondo here.... yes, I get it, he's a professional and should be ready to play whether he's starting or coming off the bench for only 2 minutes...

BUT...

I'm sure the guy was recruited by LBJ/Magic, and he signed on a 1 year contract... and with no other starting PG on the team, he's still on the bench? I don't know how you'd feel, but if I had the ego that elite level athletes have, I know how I'd feel. And his play and body language, to me, are screaming a big fat "(bleep) YOU!" to Lebron and Maginka.

Start Rondo!

Bringing back KCP and signing Lance and Beasley was a terrible move by Magic and Pelinka.

I'm convinced the KCP signing this year was a "wink wink" promise for him singing in the off-season last year.

He obviously has little knowledge about what is happening in the NBA. If he thought that NO would trade Davis here then he is the idiot.

Yes!

Our starting PG gets hurt... he's the only PG on the roster.... and he's not starting?!

Marginalizing him to 10 minutes of action is a terrible move.

The hope was that he could lead the bench...we don't need him as much in the starting lineup

Rondo was terrible before he got benched. He hasn''t had a good game since he came back from his injury.

He got benched because he sucks.

Lopez and Randle both took deals they wouldn't have taken with the Lakers.

Randle didn't want to play for Luke anymore.

“Julius Randle has made it clear that I don’t think he really wants to be back there, so are you putting money into a guy that doesn’t really want to be back there.”

https://www.silverscreenandroll.com/2018/7/1/17523810/nba-free-agent-rumors-julius-rande-la-lakers-magic-johnson-paul-george-lebron-james

After joining Pelicans: "This is the first time in four years of NBA experience I think I've done an individual skills workout, did defensive drills."
https://twitter.com/hmfaigen/status/1017978226608488448/photo/1

Lopez didn't want to play for Luke anymore.

"He is averaging a career-low 11.8 points while playing just 20.9 minutes per game, another career low. Coach Luke Walton rarely plays him down the stretch of close games and his hopes for another major contract are likely dwindling."
https://www.pe.com/2018/01/31/brook-lopez-appears-to-reach-breaking-point-as-he-plays-just-9-minutes-in-lakers-loss-to-magic/

Luke says: "I told him it was unfortunate the way the game played out with his total minutes"
https://www.ocregister.com/2018/01/23/luke-walton-tells-lakers-center-brook-lopez-his-minutes-against-knicks-were-unfortunate/

Lopez describing Luke's insistence on not playing him during the 4th quarters: "It was bizarre"
http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/22289150/brook-lopez-explains-frustrations-fourth-quarter-benchings

So maybe try a different line of arguments.

Yes we do!

Having Lebron as the primary ballhandler is tiring him. These last few games from Lebron (with PG duties) have been less than Lebronlike.

Not having a PG guard defending PG's also weakens the defense. Have you seen how teams come out of the gates against us. They literally get anything and everything they want.

Rondo's game doesn't fit on the bench with limited and inconsistent minutes.

Move Kuz to the bench, not because he deserves it, but because he's the best fit on this team to provide our bench some punch.
