And we know Lue flew in today to meet with Rob. I doubt Monty Williams's agent was the source of that, too.

Since Magic stepped down and Rob stepped up, Woj has been getting a lot of Laker info, something he never used to get.

Even in that story Woj was pushing Williams hard lol.

ESPN reporting with @McTen: Ty Lue’s meeting w/ Lakers GM Rob Pelinka today was similar to Monty Williams’ earlier in week: Get to know each other, setting up second interviews focused more on specifics. Lakers plan to bring back both coaches for sit-downs including Jeanie Buss.

This should be a long process, no reason to rush right now, there will be more candidates after the 1st round is over.

This made me LOL. Rambis always lurking. The Lakers are doing the right thing by trusting a methodical process. But hopefully they're not overthinking this. Unless there's a super home run hire like Doc Rivers out there, bring in Ty Lue and make sure he brings A1 assistants. I know Ettore Messina has set himself up for a big job, but I think he's dead set on replacing Pop in San Antonio.

C'mon LG'ers, our next head coach is Ty Lue. Stop kidding yourselves, we are Cleveland West now whether you like it, are willing to admit it or not. lebron is predictable if you've been paying attention to his actions and not what the media tells you.

I don’t think anyone is a lock to become our head coach right now, we are still exploring options.

Honestly wondering now if Pelinka was the one leaking our own front office humiliation to Woj during the AD trade fiasco.

I've been very pleasantly surprised by Lue's offensive scheme and would rate him ahead of what I remember of Monty's - but I haven't gone deep into the tape on him yet.

If he’s a good hire why haven’t we signed him to a extension?

Even if he is the one, he's probably not an overwhelming favorite; they'll float out interest to other candidates while talking down his salary demands.

I have my doubts with Lue, sure when he had a good team he came out ahead and when not? Where have I seen that story before?

Just curious: Since Lue is a former Laker do you guys treat him like a Laker retreat or just another regular guy getting the Lakers job?

2018 Cavs didnt have much more talent than the Lakers team this season. Puke couldn't even get us to the playoffs, Lue got them to the Finals. And that's with half the Cavs roster being traded at the deadline

If Lue becomes our coach I will support him as long as he builds a solid staff.

I'm on the thinking that I don't care if he's a former Laker or not.
As long as a coach can coach I'm good.
That being said, I don't get the Lakers vibe from him.
He only played 3 years with the Lakers and only 61 total regular season games.

Shes gonna be more hands on now. No more letting the pobo spend less than 60 hrs a week on Lakers basketball issues like magic was getting away with.
