Watching Money Heist on Netflix because it had a 94% RT score.

One episode in and I’m hating how dumb these criminals are. They planned a heist for 5 months and their plan involves dumb decisions like (spoiler)

Quote:
Trying to find the best mask to wear, to only end up showing all their faces to all the hostages.

They were 2 mins ahead of the caps. Rather than drive away, they purposely wait 2 mins for the cops to show up to “pretend” they are cornered, which of course backfires. The heist would’ve been done and completed in just 1 episode if they used common sense.

Does it get any better onward? Like do the criminals start using common sense?

not for me it didnt, but my wife tolerated it.

Sounds about right. It was JUST tolerable to me but I knew many who enjoyed it.

The innocent is another SPanish show on Netflix that I thought was much better.

My grandma always watched them so when I'd spend summer days at her place as a kid (while my parents were at work) I would end up watch Y&R and General Hospital with her. Those shows are kinda like WWF; you can jump in at any time and be entertained.
Go on y'all laugh. Y&R Phyllis bout ta drop da bomb on Tara. We have a lot of women in this forum. We need a stand-alone soap thread.

See season 2 is coming out in a few days.

Also What We Do In The Shadows season 3 is coming out in a little over a week.

TV is going to start getting really good soon.

In the meantime I'm checking out The Chair on Netflix. Its not bad.

I love this show.

Also, anyone watched Heels on Starz? The 2nd episode was this past week....it may have potential.

The Christmas episode of Ted Lasso might be the most perfect episode of TV ever.

Episode 1 of Season 2 of "See" is on Apple TV. Feels like Season 1 was 5ish years ago.

Thanks for the heads up. I got it on Eminence. With my IPTV I get most of the series regardless of who the provider is.

I was lucky enough to catch up on SEE over the summer (I think I binged back in May) so the wait wasn't too long for me. Looking forward to the rest of the season.
I'm glad to have a weekly show to look forward to again (aside from obvious Ted Lasso).

Didn’t realize Godfather of Harlem was back on. That was a Loooong midsession hiatus. It was probably due to COVID I imagine.

Well I got 3 new episodes to binge after work (7, 8, and 9).

You’re behind. Apparently episode 10 of season 2 came out last night. Which looks to be the second season finale.

You're right. I checked. I watched the finale when it aired. (The Harlem Riots) I'm binging on Better Call Saul. I've seen all episodes. Doing a watch-over.

I’m starting to think this whole show might be perfect. 1.5 seasons in and it is starting to approach GOAT levels. Just my 2 cents of course.

It's slated for early next year, but that has probably changed after Bob's heart attack.

Yeah, it's great - unique, funny, smart, clever, irreverent and at the core of it all, sweet.

It starts strong, but eventually just gets redundant.

One of the things I love most about Ted Lasso is that the characters all feel like real people. They all have their good sides but they all have flaws and what's great is we get to see them discover them (either themselves or from others) and then work on being a better person. Rebecca, Jamie, Roy, and Ted are the mains so we see this moreso with them but the last 2 episodes showed Nate get some help to become more confident, Roy put things in perspective for Isaac, and then Higgins trying to be a good bro for Beard. The writers and actors have done a phenomenal job getting us invested in the characters.

The characters are all wonderfully developed and interesting in their individual ways. Roy is by far IMO the most enjoyable arc so far, my favorite for sure. Interesting fact I became aware of a while back, Brett Goldstein (Roy) writes for the show and early on became convinced he was the guy for the role, so he submitted himself unannounced for the audition process and now "He's Here! He's There! He's Every-F*****G Where!"
