Danny Green is a good option since the Lakers need more floor-stretching options.
I would've preferred to have kept Randle last year, but that ship has mostly sailed. Randle became redundant with Lebron as a nice to have piece but not as a complimentary piece.
Lebron surrounded by 3 & D pieces is probably still the best team and will take you to the finals. |

points isnt the the Lakers problem — hasn’t been for years |
Correct. Randle and DLO are amongst the worst defenders at their positions in the league. That’s the reason we lost so much when they were here..had nothing to do with shooting or scoring.
Guys like KL, Jimmy Butler and Vucevic fit much better with what we are trying to do and our weaknesses as a team. If we replaced Kuzma with Randle last season, we wouldn’t have won any more games based on advanced stats and Kuzma regressed last season and is a lot cheaper. |

I think LeBron likes defending wings while Randle will actually defend bigs.
Even Randle shoots 34% behind the arc.
Both of them in the front court makes for a hell of a switchable defense while still getting rebounds. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

Shocking actually. |
Not even close, she is smart enough to let experienced executives run the organization instead of surrounding herself with friends. Those executives have made the Saints a perennial Super Bowl contender. |

Yes, I do. Been a fan for 35 years. They have built a solid executive staff, not a bunch of BFFs. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

The Pels built a solid executive staff? C'mon now. Prior to hiring Griffin (not sure what changes he has made since being hired), their FO was allegedly made up mainly of football execs... they've had a generational talent like AD for 7 years, yet couldn't build a team around him that got them sniffing the conference finals... have thrown away many picks/assets... taken on bad contracts (Solomon Hill, E'twaun Moore). They'd have been dead in the water if they hadn't lucked into the #1 pick and also lost AD for a meagre return. Why are you not holding them accountable for their results in the same way you do our FO?

He was definitely better defensively in his last season in L.A., but I think a lot of that is how they used him. His is good at switching onto smaller guys and defending them on the perimeter. He's not very good at help defense and rotations. The Lakers switched everything which benefited him. |

If the Pelicans make a deal with the Lakers and keep Randle, I think they would have a fun line-up, with 4 ex-Lakers:
PG: Ball
SG: Holiday
SF: Ingram
PF: Zion
C: Randle
And Gentry could get a lot out of them, assuming everyone stays healthy, 4 of their 5 starters could average 20ppg, with Ball upping his assists to over 10 per game!
I almost hate to say it, but not only would I watch them, I'd be rooting for them against everyone EXCEPT the Lakers! _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.” |

Ball, Ingram, Wagner, Kuzma, Hart, Bonga, #4 pick and future picks and swaps and renounce KCP, Rondo, Muscala, Lance, Bullock, Mcgee, Chandler for Kyrie, AD and Lebron. We have exceptions and minimum salaries to fill up 9+ positions. |

Do we know of an extinction event asteroid that's scheduled to strike our planet in 2021?
If yes, why not.
If not, no way. |

voted no way...giving up Ball/Ingram/Kuz/4th pick and future picks for AD is awful. He's leaving them next year. He's a 1 year rental for them at best. And It will gut our roster.
Having Irving and Lebron as defenders will already put us in a hole...
I'd only do Ball or Ingram + 4th pick for AD. Fill out the roster with other free agents on smaller non-max contracts. |

Depending on what we knew through backdoor channels... I guess I'd consider. Ie if we knew Kyrie was coming and that guys like Noel, Morris, Green, Ellington, etc were 100% going to come on the cheap, then maybe I'd consider. But if it's without guarantee that we get someone else plus cheap depth, then no thanks.
FWIW, Bonga and Wagner mean nothing to me as assets |

Don’t understand why you would include Kyrie in your poll. We could sign him as a free agent, or even another free agent. No trade needed. There are other pretty good free agents as well. So we are really just needing to choose who we send to N.O. for A.D. _________________ Go DODGERS !!!! |

In a vacuum, maybe. But Kyrie would be a FA, so that means we're trading all our assets for AD in this hypothetical, which I would not do. |
