FWIW, Talen Horton Tucker and Zach Norvell were former teammates at
Chicago Simeon.

That enables PJ to guard 6'8 small forwards- THT is 6'3 1/2 in shoes- not sure if he could guard the BI type, long SFs...

THT defends, though.

Right now probably mostly a big SG/SF defender?

Not quick enough to handle NBA PGs and too small to handle NBA PFs?

I seem him as a replacement for Hart

Remember West said he needed to retire after Hart boxed him out.

Who will THT do that to next?

Interesting. As if I needed another reason to watch summer league.

Hey everyone, I'm an Iowa State fan just stopping by to give you all a quick scouting report on THT.

When he declared for the draft, most mocks had him going in the 20's so getting him at 46 could be a steal for you guys.

He showed flashes of brilliance, but was really inconsistent (not surprising given he was the 4th youngest player in college basketball last year). Didn't shoot the 3 that well, but a good chunk of his 3's were bad step-back shots. If he cleans that up, he could be a very efficient player for you. He's still pretty raw, so I don't know how much he'll contribute to the Lakers next year if he makes the roster, but 2-3 years down the road he could end up being a really nice player.

He's also friends with Norvell (both played at Simeon in Chicago), so having him there could be good for him this summer.

I hope this pick works out for the Lakers. Either way, it will be fun seeing Lebron and AD playing together next year.

Kid is Chicago tough.

Thanks for the vid. Kid’s dealt with a lot of personal loss at an early age. Rooting for him.

PJ was was 6'5" at the draft. Tucker was really a PF in college. He is way more explosive than THT at the same age. THT has a far more advanced skillset.

Built like a mix of Jared Dudley and PJ Tucker. I hope his physique goes more towards Tucker than Dudleys.
