4 years 100. Why not? Especially if he’s still a RFA.
I'd rather he take less so we can balance out the remaining spots.

we need a PG
And outside shooting, another guy who can set guys up plus catch fire and can take over a game from time to time. Not to mention he's 23. Him and Kuz going forward with AD is not only giving us a chance to win now but down the road as well.

I agree....it is a smart way to go for it now, while having options in the future.

I'd rather have them both.
Would be great.

There are some in Boston reddit that think the C’s are gonna throw $32 mill for him.

If so, I wouldn’t mind at all giving that to Dlo on a 2/3 year deal. That would still leave between 7-12 million plus the mle.

His projected max is somewhere around $27.2 mil I believe. That's based on years of experience (0-6) and being limited to 25% of the salary cap.

Please no. I have nothing against Russell, but the drama on this board would be ridiculous.

As opposed to the drama now? It's never going to end no matter who gets signed.

We need a combo guard anyways.....

I can understand Kyrie over DLO, but DLO is far better investment than Kemba.

Who cares if there is drama on the board?

I hear this brought up all the time.

Think of sports talk shows... is there a single popular show that has two people agreeing with each other for an hour?

Most of them have two people with manufactured opposite opinions.

Think of American Idol... not the version with Simon Cowell but the one with three people agreeing with each other for two hours.

Absolutely excruciating.

I'm not saying we shouldn't be civilized... but I hate this mentality that people have to agree with each other.

There is no point in interacting with people who think exactly the same as you do unless you are incredibly insecure and need validation all day long

He was the 76th best player in the league last season by RPM. Last year the 76th highest paid player made 15M, I’m not the biggest fan of his game but at 16M a year I’d take him back. That’s leave us enough to get someone else in the backcourt to play some D.

That’s even assuming he’d want to come back. He was really immature when he was here, if he’s grown out of that and would like to win some games...come back Smokey Joe.

Arye said the Lakers will wait until the Nets renounce DLO and then they’ll go after him.

DLO has accomplished maybe 5% of what Lebron has as a player, so he’s worth around 2 million then? Lol

LeBron at 37 can still win chips, he's still going to be pretty good.

DLo is better off in terms of his brand playing with LBJ/AD on a title contender than making the max in a small market with a losing record.

If the buzz is coming from his people... it gives me hope we can get a better deal.

Also no competition for a starting job.

That has to be appealing for some of the good guards out there.

Amen. Seems like the only player everyone would universally approve if we spent our cap space on is Kawhi.

The problem with dept plan is there is no good ball handler out there and we need a 2nd ball handler beacuse Davis is a big and Lebron's mins should be limited and he should sit some games so we can have prime Lebron at playoffs.

When we look at other max worthy PGs; Kemba's age not a good fit long term plus due to his size he can't defend. Kyrie's age not problem but hes injury prone. With DLO we can p&r teams to death. Lebron and DLO going at it with AD out there? woof.

Nets are crazy if they let DLo go. He is like the heart and soul of their franchise.

Never thought of him as an option here but among Kyrie, Kemba and DLo...the latter would have a better fit as a facilitator.

DLo would also cost less giving us more chances for roster depth.

If Kawhi don't sign here...I'm ok with DLo.

Curry at 23 - 14.7ppg/4/7
Harden at 23 - 16.8ppg/4/3
Lillard at 23 - 20.7ppg/3/5.5
Kyrie at 23 - 21 ppg/3/5
Kemba at 23 - 17.7ppg/4/6
Russell at 23 - 21ppg/4/7

He's just as good as the other guys at putting the ball in the basket and better than most at finding his teammates. Half the times his teammates aren't even ready for his passes. I wonder how his numbers will look next to two allstars that not only catch his passes but can finish as well. If we can get him for 20-25 that'd be great, if he wants 27mil i think we sign him regardless IMO. Don't get why everyone prefers Kyrie/Kemba when D'lo #'s are near Kyries #s and D'Lo is still a couple years away from his prime.

1. Young and can be an all star for about the next 10 years.
2. Having 2 all stars still in their prime after LBJ retires is better than 1.
3. Not the best defender but he is 6'5 while kyrie is 6,3 and Kemba 6'1, better than both of them on that side of the ball IMO.

We really need a combo guard on this team unless KD decides to come here.

And with that in mind, it's essentially

Kyrie >DLO>Kemba

At least that is somewhat possible from a financial standpoint.

Lakers somehow scrounge $32m and split between the two?

Beverly is 30 years old coming off just under $6m contract. Would he take a 2/3 year contract for $10M per or less?

Russell’s max is $27m per year. How much less would he take? Would any of the other max free agents be willing to take less the their allotted $32m?

I’m still preferring splitting up the available cap to gain some quality depth but I admit Russell intrigued me as an option.
