There are 3 things you can count on.

Death, taxes, and Harden choking in the plyaoffs.

Lawrence Frank on Kawhi Leonard, who is dealing with right knee inflammation:

"With Kawhi, he’s dealing with inflammation. It’s no secret he’s had a couple surgeries to that knee. It’s not uncommon over the course of it where you deal with inflammation. With inflammation, it limits your ability to make some natural basketball moves, so he’s working his tail off, the staff is working their tail off to try to help with the inflammation."

I wonder will he even be ready for playoffs against Dallas?

That's when he'll go quiet, just like when the Lakers had won 9 of 10 recently.

Kawhi has had such a weird career. You could argue he would be a top 15 all time player if he were durable.

he'd have been durable if Zaza didn't step under his foot.

He had a degenerative issue in his calf dating back to San Antonio. I don't think the Zaza injury is what has led to his inconsistent health.

Nah, he's done since the Spurs days.

Raptors were lucky to squeeze one last good season out of him

Oh yeah, but his issue is degenerative.

The quad tendinopathy turned out to be symbolic of a deeper issue. It progressed into chronic knee issues, which led to the ACL tear in 2021. Then he tore his meniscus last year and had another surgery to clean up his knee. Is he genuinely injury prone or is it the unsustainable pace of the game that's ravaging players' bodies?

So here’s a question… How many rings would we have gotten if Kawhi had signed with us in 2019? Do we even get the one that we got?

What if we had gotten Paul George in 2018? Maybe we would have pushed harder in trading for AD in 2019 and been able to beat GSW without Durant.

they looked like a force in game one. Gotta hope the Mavs step up or the clippers may be looking at a deep run. I dont see them beating the Nuggets but I also didnt see them going up 30 on the mavs in game one.

what a nightmare of a start to the playoffs for me.

this is one of the must frustrating Laker teams. for whatever reason, they do not play up to their talent level. too damn bad.

Today, game 2 v. Denver, is the game that can end their season. I hope they respond.

You're saying they haven't playing up to their talent for the last 9 meetings against Denver?

Do you realize the problem now? Let me put it this way. Even if the Lakers did play their best basketball, it might still not be good enough to win.
