Came in her looking to comment on this movie and couldn't find a thread for it so I'll start one. Personally, I thought it was the best Spiderman movie yet. Marvel nailed it. Tom Holland is the best actor yet to play the webslinger, Zendaya is awesome, and Jake Gylenhall nailed it. _________________ Not a legend
I agree with everything you said. Holland really nails the humor and angst of Peter/Spidey and I love Zendaya as MJ.
I wasn't a huge fan of Homecoming but liked it better on rewatch. This is a great addition to the superhero genre because it is essentially an 80's teenage romcom with some superhero stuff thrown in.
Guess i am not a comic book nerd, but to me, this being the follow up to endgame, i think i was looking for more than some con artist fake villian that used drones and illusions... i thought it was kind of lame tbh...

the CGI when spidey was getting put through some illusions was impressive but other than that the thing was boosted trash 3/10.
the dialogue between the action scenes gets inexplicably worse with every solo hero movie. yikes. lots of screen time for his fat ugly blob friend who can't act...some people do not belong in front of a camera _________________ "All wars are civil wars, because all men are brothers."

My litmus test for movies these days are if I go to a late showing and don't fall asleep I figure I've got my money's worth. I did not even briefly nod off during this film. _________________ Not a legend
I cant get over the token black student with the do-rag
Not sure who you're talking about or what you're suggesting.
he was one of the students on the field trip. Just thought it was very tone death to have the only black kid dress like that. _________________ (bleep) Kawhi

Isn't Zendaya black? I hadn't thought about it but now you mention it, it's a very mixed race cast with few stereotypes, which is probably why I didn't notice the student you pointed out. _________________ Not a legend
This movie is pure filler in order to maintain interest in the MCU post Endgame. It's a shame because the previous Spidey was really great, and this one had some nice elements. But all in all very forgettable.

I saw most of the Marvel movies, mostly as passive experiences or when I had nothing else to do. I feel like Endgame, which I thought was really awful, felt like...the end game. Felt like a chapter was closed and I don’t feel the need to keep up with these anymore. I’m curious how popular these films remain now that their most bankable star is gone or if there are others like me that are just sick of them. _________________ 14-5-3-12

I guess the African actor (Abraham Attah) from Homecoming wasn't available or his character wasn't one of the ones who blipped and is five years older now.
I enjoyed the movie. It was what I was hoping for when it was decided to put Mysterio in the movie. I wonder if that big after credits reveal means we could be getting a new Spider-Man? _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant

How does he just take control of EDITH back when he had already transferred control to Mysterio? Huge plot hole. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Not much of one.
You've never heard of granting someone user privileges while maintaining full admin rights?
It's not a stretch to believe that since Stark wanted Peter to have EDITH he would have built a backdoor in the program that would always allow him to have access. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant

So why didn’t he make it so that Peter couldn’t transfer control? Why were the drones still able to target him? _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

No mention of a Spider-Man sequel by Kevin Feige during SDCC. They can't just leave that open ending like that!
Phase 4 might be better than I'd hoped between MCU's movies and planned TV series for their streaming service. Black Widow certainly got more interesting with the introduction of Taskmaster as the villain.
Mehershala Ali as the new Blade?. Match made in heaven. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant

Phase 4 is only 2 years, I suspect we'll hear about the next Spidey movie in Phase 5 and I wonder if they will discuss that at D23 since Sony still has the rights to him and he's just on loan.

Figured Sony would screw it up eventually. It's hard to believe Marvel was only getting 5% out of the deal. Feige must have wanted Spidey real bad for Infinity War/Endgame.
