Some Pure Vida jewelry for the special lady
Had an anklet special made on Etsy to replace one she lost
A T Swift Hoodie
Bath & Body Works stuff for her and my momma
Some clothes for me from Native Supply
Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order for me
Altogether only spent $250 and I’m pretty much done with Christmas shopping for the girl, a good head start on my momma, and done for me. I’m blessed cuz my girl likes simple things that aren’t expensive.
Used to get them at LATronics in Encino for 40 but that was a million years ago. I needed a new pair. Is it stupid to pay that much for sunglasses? Yes and no. It makes me more conscious of their whereabouts and care. I treat cheap sunglasses like crap so it comes down to simple math. Buy crap glasses that I treat accordingly and destroy or lose once a month or pay more for something I'll take care of.

$140 is not too much, and solid pair of sunglasses are worth every penny. Last time I was @ Sunglass Hut, I noticed some of the most expensive pairs in the store had reached prices that I do think is a little silly ($700-$850), but $100-$250 is a range I am comfortable with paying. Actually when I say $250, that is before I use some discount sent to me....so more like $200 on the high end. Like you said, I buy a pair every few years, but I still have almost all of my previous pairs and they are in solid condition....but I have friends that run into a beach store almost every visit and drop $20 on a pair, then leave them laying on an outdoor table at some beach pub.

I saved a whole bunch of money today by not buying into the Black Friday (bleep). _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

You can thank Luxotica for that. They own almost every sunglass and regular eyeglass brand.

What did y’all get?
Great game! I'm on the final boss now, and the game was worth every penny!
I got the Sony WH-1000mx3 wireless noise-cancelling headphones. I tested the Sony, Bose QC 35 ii, Bose 700, and Beats Studio 3 headphones at Best Buy. The Bose QC 35ii and 700 were roughly the same (very good sound quality and NC with excellent comfort). Beats were still relatively terrible (as i expected). The Sony headphones have NC that is clearly superior to the Bose ones from what I can tell, and the sound quality is slightly better too. With greater battery life (30 vs. 20 hours), USB C (vs. Micro USB for Bose), and better NC, I had to go for the Sony headphones.

Normally I'd agree with you. But the headphones that I bought were $299 since they were released two years ago, occasionally dipping to $269. I just didn't want to pay more than $200 for them. A few days ago, they went down to $199 on the manufacturer's site as part of their "Black Friday" sale, while still staying at $299 on Amazon and other places. So I finally bought them. So in this case, I really did save $100. It makes me feel good that I waited for more than a year and got the deal that I wanted. _________________ ¡Hala Madrid!

Yeah, you just gotta know where to look. I ordered a PS4 Pro at Kohls for $299 and it came with $90 in Kohls cash and I got an additional $60 cash back from using Samsung Pay. Ridiculous deal. _________________ KOBE

deal still good?
It was going in/out of stock most of yesterday.
If any of you guys have Samsung Pay, make your purchase through them...the % back varies by account. I have 20% cashback at Home Depot, Lowes, Kohls. It's a maximum of $100 you can get back per purchase. I _________________ KOBE

I think it's been proven that prices the weekend before Christmas are overall a bigger discount than Black Friday.
Black Friday seems like a gimmick. If the deals were so good, then why would these companies *make* money off of it? _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
